I'm thinking of getting this kit:

Polaris RZR Snorkel Kit

Has anyone used it? Any comments? Would you recommend it? If not this one, which one?

PS. not interested in building my own at this time, just want a kit.

I hate to even answer knowing you have already stated you do NOT want to build your own kit, but it really is easy and will look much better in my opinion. Not to mention that you are much better off getting rid of the stock air box and snorkling straight from the throttle body and using an external filter such as K&N Apollo or UNI. I don't like the way this kit looks at all! If you have to have a kit go with Bayou Snorkels or Mud Industries... Just my .02 cents

i put it on my 08 rzr and i like it.figure about 2 hrs to put it on but it is very easy to do just follow the directions .i like it better than the others it is hidden behind your roll cage.it does use your stock air cleaner box and you utilize the rubber boots from clutch housing.plus it snorkels to the top of the roll cage

I have installed 9 of these kits . They are the best on the market as far as i am concerned . Great bunch of people to deal with too . Call Eric and order direct and tell him the ole boy from Tn. recommended them to you . It will be cheaper than EBay . They take paypal or credit card . 603-660-1808
Note i do away with the airbox completely . I install a 2" pvc slip joint which you can buy at Lowes or any plumbing store . You will need a 2" black 90degree elbow too if you do like i do them . I actually drill and tap a hole in the filter side of the up tube and run the breather hose from top of the engine to a brass nipple i install . Sometimes i also install another 1/4" nipple and run all vent lines to the same tube if your a water dawg . lol
I like the fact that this system isn't in your rear view way when looking at your rear view mirror looking for your buddies to catch up ! lol As well the thing is not in your ear too . Some i have seen are right in the drivers right ear and passengers left ear and you can't hear crap ! I give this system 2 thumbs up and 5 stars !

I just installed this kit last week. I looked at different kits and picked this one because it blends with the shape of the cage, doesn't block the rear view and is high. You can always get some small uni's for the tube ends if you want. Look in the projects section for snorkle install, I posted pictures of the connections.

I have this kit and so far no complaints. It was probably the 3rd thing I installed on my RZR and it was a PITA. I could probably do it now a lot easier since I have taken her apart tons of times since.

You get ride of all of the stock air intake plumbing. These are all located right between the driver and the passenger seats just above the firewall.

The new plumbing, per the instructions, are ran to the clutch cover exhaust using the stock rubber seal. You flip the seal and and use the existing hose clamps.

You also use the existing rubber seal and hose clamps for the clutch intake. This part was the trickiest part of the install. Space is tight behind your clutch cover and getting the rubber seal all the way around the snorkel's plumbing can be a pain, especially on the side you can't see b/c the engine is in the way. ++++DON'T DISCONNECT THE RUBBER SEAL FROM THE CLUTCH INTAKE ON THE ENGINE...IMPOSSIBLE TO GET BACK ON!!++++
(if you go with this kit, PM me and I will give you an easy way to get this seal on the clutch intake plumbing.)

I just had to trust I had a good seal and from running my hand around the pipe it felt sealed.

The engine air intake plumbing goes straight to your air box, unless you opt to connect straight to the throttle body.

You do have to cut 3 holes in your bed but a 3" hole saw makes quick work of the plastic. Just make sure you measure 4 times and cut once.lol. having the holes properly line up is crucial.

The system definitely works, though. Been through deep water and have not had a wet clutch belt.
From time to time I forgot to take the caps off of the ends of the pipes and start her up. She dies in 1 or 2 seconds from no air intake.lol So I am pretty sure its air/water tight.

Hope this helps.

Like he said, the clutch intake was a PITA. I pulled out the airbox and it made it easier to see and do it. I also found that the clamp from the airbox to the throttle body was loose so it was good that I did it this way. When you cut the 3" holes, run the hole saw in reverse, it doesn't pull you into the plastic that way.
I know I have a good seal, if you put your hand over the intake tube you can choke the engine out.

It comes with 3 large rubber couplings that mount with 2 hose clamps. That way if you have to remove the bed you don't have to break the sealant on your plumbing. It also gives you a lot of versatility if you do hit a tree or branch with one of the pipes....It won't snap or break, it will just bend at that point.

here is another thread that has been started showing pics of the install.

If you have taken your RZR apart a few times it isn't that bad, but if its your first time you might want to go slow and read the directions a few times.

It took me a few days to do it b/c I didn't want to screw anything up and it was my first time.

and don't hesitate to come here if you run into a problem. I know Im subscribed to this thread and will get an email update rather quickly if you post something as I am sure others will give a hand.

Has anyone had any problems with the way the engine runs, i've heard of a couple of guys where the engine starts crappin out from lack of air on other systems. Would a filter on the end of the intake tube and OE airbox be too much restriction. Also does the problem with stock air box start with the way its sealed by the rear tire or the whole setup in general. If its sealed off properly with a foam replacement filter and a prefilter on top it should be good.I don't really want to gut the air box (yet) i did just buy it.Thanks

That kit looks better than many i've seen, and looks slicker than the one i built.
That said, i would have it about 6" shorter to protect against branches snagging it at the top, and i would put another 45° piece on the intake end. I say this cause i often trailer my Rzr backwards, and if driving in rain somewhere, you'll get water in this system unless you put plastic over the openings. Just my $.02

Looks like a slick set up. Almost makes you think thats alot of plumbing & possible restriction for the air intake though??????

I am guessing it breaths better than the factory set-up. It is a nice kit! Like someone mentioned, it even comes with caps for when in storage or transporting!

being up towards to roof, is there less or more noise from the cvt snorkel. .? i know some have said with it being right by your ear it makes it almost unbearable to drive it but thinking with it up higher it would actually make it more quiet

I think it is a lot quieter inside the cab with this kit. I am looking for something to put over the end of the tubes, at least the engine intake tube.

i like the looks of that kit. i built my own though bc it was much cheaper. i definitely wouldnt go directly to the throttle body with just a k&n or something on the snorkel like was mentioned. I ran my snorkels all the way to the top with a K&N/outerwear prefilter and kept the stock air box and filter. It runs the same as it did with the stock setup.

This is the way I would like to snorkel but I dont like the looks of that stock airbox up top.
The kit doesn't come with that airbox on top. That member added it himself.
