air cleaner problem
anyone having problems with there aircleaners? if so,let me know with your name and address. I have a lawyer that is taking polaris to court.I bought my rzr and the first time out it sucked in alot of dirt and the motor is now running like crap.Dealer said they know about the problem but dont want to fix it because the demand for them is so high they dont want to loose sells. They also told me since I bought it its my problem and they dont have to fix it.warranty also said they wont fix it.So basically we as the concumers are getting screwed by polaris. The lawyer said I need 30 people with the same problem and the case will definitley go to court and it doesn't cost a thing if we loose. The lawywer is almost positive we'll win.Either money for the hassle with the problem, cost for the repair and time,or replacement of the rzr,or your price of purchase. He said there is definitley a case here.We need to stand up to polaris and not let them get away with this anymore.Again, I need 30 people with the same airbox problem. If you can help,if you have the same problem and want to see justice against this company get back to me please. All i need is name ,address.phone number. It doesn't matter what state as long as you own a polaris rzr.If you would like to reach me and discuss any of this you can call me at (916) 470-8522.My name is Greg. Thanks!

I would try another dealer as you are one of the few I have heard that were denied a free rebuild.

Its been my experience that in law suits like this the only one who wins is the attorneys.

Don't get me wrong, but do you have anything better to do them looking for lawyer ? No wonder this country have employment problem and everybody is rather manufacturing stuff in China then here. Geez, put the clamp on filter and be over it.

YOU MUST HAVE ALOT OF MONEY TO BURN.SOME OF US WORK HARD FOR OURS AND TO BUY SOMETHING BRAND NEW AND THE FIRST TIME OUT IT STARTS HAVING PROBLEMS WHICH THEY KNOW ABOUT AND WONT FIX,I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT.WHEN I TAKE IT TO A COUPLE DIFFERENT DEALERS AND THEY TELL ME TUFF.WHEN THE WARRANTY SAYS THEY ARENT GOING TO FIX IT EITHER.SO I SHOULD JUST BEND OVER AND TAKE IT LIKE YOU APPARENTLY DID WITH NO ARGUEMENTS.THATS REAL BRILLIANT! LETS GO SPEND MORE MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT KEEPS HAVING PROBLEMS AND NEVER SAY ANYTHING TO THE DEALER THAT SOLD THE DAMN THING.I'M NOT AFRAID TO STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT AND FIGHT FOR WHATS RIGHT.IF YOU FIND THAT ITS A WASTE OF TIME ,THEN SO BE IT.SOME OF US DON'T AND WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SETTLE FOR THAT.

Re: air cleaner problem
I personally have not had this problem or i would be more then willing to help you guys out sorry. I am just curious of which rzr build you have because i believe polaris addressed the issue and fixed it in the so called Gen 2 or Gen 3 RZR's. Atleast that was my impression is that not the case? just curious

Re: air cleaner problem
milosusa i have done more than just a clamp on my filter. I also put a k&n filter with sensor safe filter oil and i cut an outerwares pre filter to fit over the opening on the air box. also have an outerwares pre filter on the k&n filter. also instaled holz racing air box bed seal. Dealer also did recall fix. and i also greased the lid on the air filter housing. I did all of this fresh before i went on the kentucky black mountain ride and i still got a little dust film past the the filter in my air intake tube that go's to the throttle body. my air filter is vary dirty the only reson i can think of for causing this is because of the location of the filter housing. thay put it in the middle of a dust cloud. all of my atv's wear tuck under the seat or installed where the gas tank would have gone if the tank was moved to rear of the unit. this helped box the filter housing in and the housing wasent setting in a dust cloud. I need to look at this filter housing and see if it has a drain hole big enough to let dust in because i have sealed everything else. im woundering if the dust came in through the hole and was to much for the filter in that spot. i havent cleaned my filter yet and i will look at it and see if there is a heavey dust spot in one area. however to do all this to keep dust out is not right and polaris needs to fix it. In case your woundering i was on the trail for 10 hours. and my rzr did run great. for the most part i think my set up will work but in heavy dust conditions it dident keep every bit of it out. and if you do filter housing mods that pemently change the set up you void the warrenty. now that being said what do you have to say MR DOUBTY MOOSTAFFA. If the rzr dident have an air filter problem and if it was working like the other units on the market you wouldent hear me bitching. yes all units let dust in but the rzr is letting enough in to get pass the filter. and the way i have my rzr set up and its still getting past the filter. It would have to be getting alot of dust in one area or somthing. anyhow polaris should relocate this filter housing and it was cought quick enough so i think it shoul be free of charge for all rzr's. It's not our falt they dident fix it before too many got sold. remember the ford explorer. everyone stick togather and if you are not with us on this go to another post because our minds are maid up on this and we dont want your negativity on this one.

THEY THOUGHT THEY FIXED IT.THE ONE I HAVE WAS JUST BUILT.I.VE TALKED TO SEVERAL DEALERS AND TO THE MANUFACTURER DIRECTLEY.THEY TOLD ME THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM BUT RIGHT NOW THEY SAY SILICONE WILL FIX IT.WRONG.THATS HOW THEY TRIED TO FIX MINE.AFTER THAT,THEY SAID I WAS ON MY OWN.YOU BOUGHT IT,YOU DEAL WITH IT.NOT THERE PROBLEM.SO I SAY WE ALL STAND OUR GROUND AGAINST THEM A GO AFTER THEM.WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOOSE! "TIME" SO WHAT.ITS WORTH WHAT I PAID FOR THIS THING.(MY OPINION)
