RZRDOG,PM me a number or something for this guy.I haven't been able to talk with anyone at Polaris.Customer service told me to write a letter to the warranty dept but won't even let me explain to someone.I know what happened to the motor and why it seized(no oil)but because I bent a rod the stupid teck at dealership told them I must of hydrolocked it to bend the rod.

He left me an email and asked for my phone number. When or if he calls me, I will try for a good phone number. You can try and email them using their web site. I will keep you informed.

Thumbs up Re: air cleaner problem

Polaris came through for me and paid the bill to have my Rzr fixed. The bill was $2,071. If anyone of you are having problems with the air intake system email Polaris Industries and address it to a Mr. Monte Gourley. He was the one that helped me and he was very professional. If he emails you back he will want a phone number and the VIN on your Rzr. Polaris stepped up to the plate for me.

Obviously you havn't had a problem with your RZR. How would you like to be stranded out on the trail with a blown motor. Id bet youd get off your high horse and stop talking sh!t. Oh yeah the payment doesnt go away when your machine is broke down.....And what does employment have to do with quality? I try to buy local and keep the money in town...Was your rzr built in china or canada? Chill out and help your fellow riders resolve this issue....

Re: air cleaner problem

I'm also having problems with dust entering the intake system. Just this past weekend with only 61 hours on my RZR the rubber boot came off between the throttle body and the air box. After travelling down a dusty road for about 5 miles when I went to stop the machine just quit. When I went to start it back up I noticed the motor was tapping. I shut it right off and checked it out and sure enough the boot had came off. I am going to call my dealer and see if he will do anything for me. The RZR is just 1 year old with not much running on it.Polaris better cover this under warranty for me or I will never buy another Polaris. This was my first Polaris after owning many other Japanese bikes and never having such a silly problem with them. I will keep you all informed on how I make out.

Called my Polaris dealer this morning. He said he had never heard of Polaris having this proble. I went on to tell him about this forum and many other people having same problem. I went on to mention the lawsuit that I read about on here. My Polaris dealer took my VIN number and told me he would call Polaris to see what he could do. Within minutes he called me back and asked if I could bring it in and they would check it out. He said if dirt was found in throttle body that Polaris say's they will cover it but if water was found they would not. That is fair enough. They should not find any water as I have not ever went threw deep water. Taking the bike up tomorrow so will keep you all informed. My e-mail address is mjk@nb.sympatico.ca if anyone wants to send me a note.

Re: air cleaner problem

I was at the dealer when i thought dirt got past.We took off airbox and confirmed there was dirt past and that it was burning oil.The dealer was emailing Polaris to see what they would do and in the meantime I had them change all my fluids. This was at 50 hours. They said to take it while I was waiting for reply from Polaris.7 hours of driving time later the motor seized on the side of a mountain and they said they found water??????No warranty

Re: air cleaner problem

"Railroaded"
-after I pay for new to get new motor installed by dealer it caught on fire on first trip out of the yard. But I got some bullshit reason on how they figure that was my fault too.I gave up and will let the lawyers figure it out

Re: air cleaner problem

Here Is My Story.
All In Large Letter So That Any Other Old Farts Like Me Can Read It. Sorry If You Think I Am Screaming Commodore !

Had My 09 Rzr For 5 Days And Locked Up The Motor.gen Whatever? Bought It Sept 09. Took It To The Dealer And I Told The Service Manager They Have A Slight Problem, They Sold Me A Windshiled, They Had Installed, When I Picked It Up, And All To Well Knowing The Problems With That, And Sent Me On My Way, Knowing The Terrain In To Which I Was Headed Was Dusty, very Majorly Dusty!

I Bought It At The Dealer Close To Where I Go To Ride, 3 Hours From My Home, Rather Than Buying It From The Local Dealer, 15 Minutes Away.glad I Did!

I Hadn't Joined The Forum Until It Was In The Shop For The Month.

The Factory Denied My Claim As All Of Yours Were. Stating That I Water Locked The Motor, I Was No Where Near Water, Onlly Lots Of Dust!!!!!!!!

This Dealer Went To Bat For Me! They Installed Long Block(complete New Motor), New Throtle Body, and A Few Other Things. Payed For The Fluids And Back On The Road, Without My Nice New Windshield(now For The Winter), My New Afe Filter, And Shhhhh The Snrokels I Built.

Yes This Company Has A Problem, And If The Lawyers, Are How It Will Get Resovled, So Be It!

Re: air cleaner problem

Dropped my bike off today at dealer. They said they will call me as soon as they get it apart and let me know what happened. I know what happened and there is dust in the engine but we will see what dealer tells me. Keep you all informed.

2008/11/04 Spoke to Polaris dealer this morning and asked how they are making out with my bike. They told me they have not had time to get it in the shop but would try to get it in this week. They have had it 1 week now and have not touched it.
