Larger Tires vs. Stock tires

I am getting a RZR in about a week and had a few questions about the tires and rims

1. are the stock tires and rims ok for trail riding and light mud

2. what is the purpose or aftermarket tires

3. how much will nice aftermarket tires and rims cost

My experience was that the stock tires did quite well for trail riding and light mud. Other people my have a different opinion

2) what is the purpose or aftermarket tires:
More traction from wider tires, more clearence from taller tires, some tires are better on rocks, some in sand, some are made primarily for mud. Some people change tires and wheels for appearances. Other reasons are as varried and numerous as there are different tires and rims.

3)how much will nice aftermarket tires and rims cost:
$750 - $850 plus or minus depending on what you buy and where you buy them.
