RPM One Warranty?

My dealer offered the Polaris warranty or an aftermarket one on my RZR S. They claim that the RPM One (that's the company) warranty was hands down better than the Polaris one and covers way more parts, which the Polaris one excludes.

Has anyone had experience with RPM One? The 48 month retails for $910, but I talked them down to dealer cost of $560. I have 60 days to cancel if I wish.

Thanks.

Re: RPM One Warranty?

What i would worry about is if this rpm would even be around in 5 years, im sure polaris will. Looks like they were just bought out by somebody else.

Re: RPM One Warranty?

Stay far far far far far away from this warranty as posiable. It is a sister company of Interstate warranty. I have fought with these people for 2 weeks to put a new engine in my wifes sled. They want service recipets for oil and oil filter changes (duh it is a 2 stroke) Please stay far away ONLY BUY FACTORY WARRANTY. We would be sleding now if we bought factory warranty. Tell every one you know don't use these people.

Crap!

My dealer pushed the RPM one warranty big time, said the same thing that it was way better then PoPo's. They said up front I did need receipts but only for the parts and fluids if I was doing the maintenance myself.

They'd better stand up if I run into issues

Re: RPM One Warranty?

Put on your boxing gloves you will need them. We might get our engine covered but it has cost me in cell phone min. I hope you never need it. Take photos of you pouring oil back in to the engine, and checking it, and what ever else you do. They rejected my receipts for my 2 stroke oil because they did not have my name on them. Make sure your name is on it if you buy it from a Polaris dealer.

Re: RPM One Warranty?

WOW, While the RPM One warranty is a private label deal with Interstate Warranties, my experience has been dont but RPM One products, they will piddle you around until you go away. While the statement is true that Polaris will be around in 5 years, Polaris is not the actual warranty company either. GE is the Polaris warranty provider. From my experience and the experience of friends is that Western Service Contracts is the best choice for a Powersports extended warranty company. They have been in the business since 1974, long before the factories started offering Extended Warranties. I do now that the top dealers in the country only sell Western, that in itself says something.

Re: RPM One Warranty?

The deciding factor is whether the dealer will go to bat for you. I bought the RPM on my two quads and while the original dealer was open, I had good results. Unfortunately they went under and I could not get good service from other dealers, they didn't want to hassle going through RPM. If I were to try again, and I would with a new RZR, I'd go with the Polaris warranty unless you have a good relationship with the dealer and know he'll be around.

Don't know if I shoud post this but I bought a Zurich warranty when I bought my 2009 razor. I had lots of things fixed and they paid for them. I had very little problem and I was happy with it but now I bought a 2014 razor and am trying to decide if I want to put out the money for another warranty. I just think the warrantys cost more than they should. Is the newer Razors having as many problems as the older ones did?

Re: RPM One Warranty?

Had an RPM warranty, had a motor fail... couldn't get them to cover it. Had such a poor experience, I never bothered to see if other issues might be covered.

Simply a waste of money!!!!

I recommend you put the cost of the warranty in the bank and use it to pay for things that go wrong... you'll be money ahead!!

Re: RPM One Warranty?

This sure makes me feel warm and fuzzy after purchasing a RPM one warranty for my 900s. Should of known better. I never buy warranties for stuff but thought it may be a good deal with the factory warranty only being 6 months and as much as these things cost.

Re: RPM One Warranty?

Call Kenneth at KG motosports he is a site vendor. I asked the service manager at my local Polaris dealer and he said RPM is the one he purchased for his Polaris. I think it is like any warrantee work you need done it depends on your dealer. Research the forum and you will find good and bad about all brands.
