Don't wait for the recall

Just came back from the Dealer, found out there is a recall on ALL RZR's made before 8/2/07. It is a air intake kit to stop dirt getting into the engine. Sure wish Polaris would have informed buyers, instead of me having to go to them and asking. Till then I was told do not ride in the dirt!Polaris best hope this did not do any damage to my engine. On top of that the dealer told me it will take ME under an hour to fix THERE problem. Polaris is in my home state, sure not making me proud.

That's funny because I had asked my dealer about that same recall and he told me it did not apply to me...although I didn't have the date in hand...and I bought mine on 8-2. Looks like I need to give them a call to set things straight.

Re: Don't wait for the recall

i got mine done, also had to take it for the rear differential seal leaking took 2 weeks to get it back. they put a new air filter on that hose clamps onto the inside of the airbox. they also put some foam around the engine cover up by the inlets for the snorkels. stupid stuff. i read the how to fix there was 2 recalls. one of them said ad a gromet somewhere then show the customer where the snorkel inlet under the bed is and tell them not to spray water in it while washing. i might have to take mine back again because the seatbelts both don't work they are stuck in. i still wouldn't trade it for a rhino.

Re: Don't wait for the recall

I got my Rzr in May, still haven't brought it in yet but my mechanic said there are 3 recalls. I already took it in for 1 differential seal leak, now I see its leaking again. I still wouldn't trade it for a rhino either though. I'll post again once I take it in. Has anyone tried the Uni air filter?

Not sure, I have my rzr scheduled to be worked on Oct. 3, so I should know by then. The mechanic owns a rzr also, so if I talk to him in the meantime I'll let you know what the 3 are.
