Price Increase Polaris Accessories?

The prices on the Pure Polaris website are significantly higher than those in the "2008 Ranger &Ranger RZR Accessories & Apparel" catalog.

Why is that?

Re: Price Increase Polaris Accessories?

Is that to say the dealers are seeing the higher prices in their system? Meaning the catalog prices are no longer valid unless a dealer is willing to honor the old prices?

Re: Price Increase Polaris Accessories?

Polaris did a big price increase right after the catalog printed this year. The margins on parts dropped big time if the dealers stay with the catalog price, and you don't make anything on the Polaris accesories anyway since Polaris farms out the manufacturing to other venders. I try to go aftermarket wherever I can.

Re: Price Increase Polaris Accessories?

i figured it was because of financing. If you are adding these items to your machine when you buy it and are including their costs in financing they are going to charge you more for them than if you would buy them outright.

Re: Price Increase Polaris Accessories?

Thank you for the info...that explains the difference in prices I'm seeing.

BTW, I ordered some Polaris accessories via a Illinois delaers ebay store. The prices were very competitve, and they shipped want they promised pronto. I was very satisfied. Link:

That might be the case at some dealers, but that is shady business, not a common thing. My customers actually save money in some situations by buying the parts and chargin them to the vehicle financing than by buying them outright sometimes. I also offer a new customer discont on parts and accessories sometimes.

If your shop it charging you more to finance the parts in, call bullshit on them.

Some brick and mortor stores seem to be in denial that it's a competitive world!
