12.5 Hour trip for me so I can't make it this time, but I may plan this as a stop along the way to the BuggyNews National Bash at St. Joe's next year... I love a good pit stop... Stop, Ride, Sleep, Go.
Take plenty of pictures and video if you can.

Re: 400+ acre off-road park opening this weekend!!!

Well, with this weather being the best in weeks I'd really thought it worth pushing my luck. Thinking I would invite the wife along, although I doubted she would take me up on it. But to better my chances figured I'd wash the accumulated mud off the seats at least! Next thing I know I’ve got the whole thing washed up and gone over looking ready to ride! Now to help even the odds a little more, I’ll put it away and start supper……..yeah this is going to work!
Upon starting the engine there seems to be a problem getting it in gear ……….no it goes into gear, just no gear indicator on the dash! Knowing without that I’ll have no AWD, I’m thinking “Houston we have problem”. At the moment it is not looking good, as it sits in the garage dripping dry figure I’ll quickly check the forums for things to check first. Perhaps I’ll find a loose connection I jarred loose while extracting brick like pieces of leaves and mud from various locations, if not it could be the infamous gear indicator switch which would be a bit more of a pain in the arse then I feel up to dealing with tonight. If that’s the case I’ll not be going anywhere this weekend as I’ll also spend some time tracking down a small problem with the stereo too!
You guys have a good time and please report back on the riding conditions and adventures as I enjoy reading about riding as much as ………..NAW, bullsh…. I got to go ………something in the garage is calling my name!

Thumbs up Re: 400+ acre off-road park opening this weekend!!!

I paid a visit to Wheelers Off-road park today, the place has some real potential.
Few things to keep in mind...
1. I met the owner and as long as your are safe and stay within the designated ride area you have free rome of the place. Feel free to make new trails, hillclimbs, mudholes...basically whatever you want to do.
2. Anyone that is coming DO NOT use the driveway marked with the address, (8066). Look for the sign, (white with red letters, says "Wheelers" on it), He was just finishing an access road that is wide enough for any vehicle and goes straight to the parking and camping area's.
3. Keep in mind that these are for the most part, virgin trails. He has had some logging work done and that is the only trails on the property for now. I rode some today and they are ROUGH, but the more they are rode the better they will get.
4. Everyone please take your time when you first hit the woods. Some of the trails are really rutted and a few of the hillclimbs are insane. Rick wants everyone to have a great time this weekend, and he really doesn't want anyone to get hurt.

Thats about it I guess, my wife and I will be there Saturday with the "S" around 8:30 or so and hope to see and meet as many forum members as possible.

Later all,

-Purn
