Few things to keep in mind...
1. I met the owner and as long as your are safe and stay within the designated ride area you have free roam of the place. Feel free to make new trails, hillclimbs, mudholes...basically whatever you want to do.
2. Anyone that is coming DO NOT use the driveway marked with the address, (8066). Look for the sign, (white with red letters, says "Wheelers" on it), He was just finishing an access road that is wide enough for any vehicle and goes straight to the parking and camping area's.
3. Keep in mind that these are for the most part, virgin trails. He has had some logging work done and that is the only trails on the property for now. I rode some today and they are ROUGH, but the more they are rode the better they will get.
4. Everyone please take your time when you first hit the woods. Some of the trails are really rutted and a few of the hillclimbs are insane. Rick wants everyone to have a great time this weekend, and he really doesn't want anyone to get hurt.

Thats about it I guess, my wife and I will be there Saturday with the "S" around 8:30 or so and hope to see and meet as many forum members as possible.

Later all,

-Purn

sounds like fun I should be there around 9:00 but most likely sooner

Yep, it was the connector down below the air filter on top of the skid plate. Remembered digging out all kind of crap down there. Can’t believe it came undone, had a heck of a time back getting it loose when I was pulling apart all my connections and adding dielectric grease to them. It was fairly clean but couldn’t believe the resistor module was still working with all the muck found inside of it!
Long story short, asked the wife and she being of sound mind has decided if she is going anywhere with me it will be back to where I’ve gone the last three weeks……….not really cause she wants to ride but because we’ve got something needing done down there that has been to wet for me to stop riding long enough to do.
So instead I’m heading in Shoemaker’s direction!

Thumbs up Re: 400+ acre off-road park opening this weekend!!!

Went to Wheelers yesterday and had an absolute BLAST!! We heard around 800 were there and I would say that is about right. Mostly rail buggy's and 4wd trucks with quads, dirt bikes and somewhere between 10-20 RZR's thrown in as well. Big thanks to RZR forum member rtb1973 and his buddy's who rode with me and my wife all day. I spotted forum member rzrtrav as well, nice to see a Peebles guy make it...lol.
I'll post some of the better pictures below, for some reason the few video's I shot with my GoPro won't upload. I transfered them to my computer and they play fine...I just can't upload them to YouTube or PhotoBucket, I keep getting an error code...WTF??

Just arrived and still clean

H1, he was on the trails all day

Trucks climbing through the woods

Armored Toyota

Ranger heading for the trails

I got stuck in the swamp....twice

Ty's RZR after a few hours of playing

Some of the parking area

Rail hung up on a tree

I can't wait to go back

About that getting pulled out of the mud thing...
My Philosophy of playing in the mud in 2wd till I get stuck then getting out in 4wd doesn't always work...lol.
It took me 5 hours to get the 'ol girl clean today!

Had a great time riding with Ty, Brian and friends, we will have to do it again soon.

Re: 400+ acre off-road park opening this weekend!!!

Went today prolly ten or so rzrs there, for the place just opening I was impressed. Getting in and out is gonna be a trick after some rain though and after alot of trucks go over it. This was my first time out in mine and I'm very impressed I was going up stuff I wouldn't attempt on my quad and my buddies wouldn't or couldn't make it up. Watched a four wheel driver truck try a hill and couldn't make it and I went right up on my second try I just hope the place doesn't get rutted too bad.

I agree with you on the rutts and also the road going back they need to put some gravel down after a good rain a 2wd will not make it back to the parking lot

Re: 400+ acre off-road park opening this weekend!!!

Hey purn, I think you pulled in on sunday right across from me.
My son and I had a blast until I got a little froggy on the moto x track and knocked the front end out of alignment.
That terrain is pretty close to what I ride up here arond chillicothe area, but the hills down there aren't as long. kinda reminds me of our play hills. all in all a good place to go riding. It would be cool to set up a RZR Forums ride and camp out when they open back up next spring. I'm in for sure.
