Re: Stock RZR Hood
I'd make sure the front hooks are under the plastic and not sitting on top.

Re: Stock RZR Hood
Yeah I have had the hood fly off on both a Gen2 and Gen3 RZR. It seems to be an issue with the lower bracket that presses against the hood being to thin and flexing...
I just made it out of thicker material and that has seemed to fix the problem.

Re: Stock RZR Hood
Hmnnn, I wonder if running the Holz grill made a difference, stiffer frontal area or something because I tow mine at 70 plus and run the desert at WOT through all the terrains thown at me-no hood loss yet. I better knock on wood.

Re: Stock RZR Hood
What I found agrees with what everyone has said:

My hood very obviously *snaps* into place when pressed down in front. YMMV

Re: Stock RZR Hood
I have a good fix!! I had this problem, expecially when the front was loaded with gear in the little cubby. I race snowmachines, and you can use some of that technology to help you out. I put 3 extra hood latch's on mine. We use them to keep our couling on while we are rolling at 100 mph. They are a cheap fix and look excellent on the RZR. I put one on each side towards the rear 2 corners, and then one pulling straight down on the front. I have not had any problems since then. Polaris makes them as a kit or you can buy them aftermarket through Western Power Sports. Good Luck.
