Kits missing parts

I have now opened 4 different Polaris Kits that are missing a total of 7 parts. Some are simple nuts and bolts but others are rather unique parts that are not so easy to just go out and buy. Plus since I bought the kit I shouldn't have to go buy it anyway. Sounds like some really poor QC at Polaris when assembling these kits. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi Commadore
I fit Pure Polaris gear all the time & dont have a problem.
Some after market stuff fits most bikes/quads/UTV's but the one I'm working on.
They just need some small alterations.
Unpacking is the key - look before chucking the rubbish out.
I know this - I have empted the bin on several occasions.

I am very thorough when I open the kits and the first thing that I always do is check all of the parts against the parts list before I start the project. I also had a second person go through the packaging looking for the parts and they were not to be found.

I put Pure Polaris front and rear pre-runners, nerf bars, wheels and windshield on...no missing parts. Maybe you have a shady dealer that skims the parts?

It's not the dealer. When I picked up the kits they were still wrapped in plastic sitting on the pallets from Polaris. I had them just load the 3 pallets directly into my truck, so they never opened them.

Heater Kit - missing bolt
Glass windshield - missing nut
L&R cab - missing 4 clamps
Tiedown Kit (for L&R cab) - missing washer

Re: Kits missing parts

I've installed no less that 100 Polaris accessories on RZR's and have not been missing more than few peices total.
I notice the accessories come from Canada. I wonder what company actually verifies the contents??
It could be Polaris Industries never even touches or sees the packages.

Re: Kits missing parts

Did you get the required install kits for them. The bumper install kit is part number 2876400H. Not sure for the rock sliders.

Re: Kits missing parts

I personally think it's sad the products wind up outsourced over seas just to save a buck, but that's just my opinion.

Re: Kits missing parts

I not sure if it's saving a buck as much as competing with Japanese manufactures who do the same thing. It would be interesting to know what percentage of the RZR is manufactured in the US and how much comes from Canada and Mexico then assembled here.

Re: Kits missing parts

If memory serves, doesn't it need to be assembled with 51% parts from the US? Or is that old news and not the way it is anymore?
