Holy crap that's a long ride! I live in Loveland CO and I'm curious to. If they can plate a scooter wouldn't you think you could plate one of these?

Live in Colorado and plate 'em in Wyoming. Have to have a Wyoming address to do it but can have your paper work sent to any address for renewal. We do 95% of our riding in Wyoming or some other state. They like us and our money. Colorado just as soon not have us here. Fine with me, getting out of this state is top priority with us.
Case in point. Alpine "Loop" is one of the neatest rides there is. However, there ain't no "loop" because Silverton, Lake City and others wont open a lane for us low life's to make a "loop".
Friends of ours from AZ. rode their ATV's from Canada to Mexico with NO support vehicle. ONLY place they got stopped was in Durango. After they got checked the cop told 'em to make their stay limited.

Re: Has anyone put a plate on a Rzr?

Plate it in Wyoming.? Does that make it legal for road use in Colorado? I just want to ride on the road to trails up in the hills. Just in case the man has an attitude. We rode the Paiute trail in Utah last year and I was amazed with the difference between Colorado and Utah. Colorado will close trails because it goes over wetlands. However Utah just builds a damn bridge over it. We rode to the gas station filled up and rode through town and as long as you didn't ride stupid nobody said anything. Hell the speed limit sign had a speed for cars and atv's on it. Just recently found out that Colorado raised their OHV sticker price by $10.00 which is fine with me as long as the money goes to the trails. I guess Utah wants and encourages the atv'ers for all the money it brings to the state. Are you listening Colorado. I just realized I jacked this thread, woops sorry about that. And I'll get off my box about Colorado as well.

The only time we rode in COLO last year is when we crossed the WY-Colo border while riding. No one around though to hassle you there. Have rode on the COLO County roads to get to other trail heads. But it was against the law to drive unlicensed vehicles. Never got stopped. Like I said dont ride here much.

Re: Has anyone put a plate on a Rzr?

Thats an idea. Seriously if they can license a p.o.s scooter that only goes 30 m.p.h wouldn't you think this is possible. A buddy of mine has a sandrail plated and I thought he said you have to have lights, blinkers, windshield etc. these would not be hard to do.

Re: Has anyone put a plate on a Rzr?

Here in AZ they give us a MC (Motorcycle) plate and registration. I got mine at a place called AZ rapid title. No questions or inspections, I was in and out in ten minutes. Cost was $180 for one year of regisrtration.

10 minutes sounds great. Would you have a # and location for that outfit? If you're in Maricopa or Pinal county do you know if a ATV needs an emmission check? Thanks.
