I want to get a windshield for my new rzr and i need help. Whats better a full windshield or a half . I think I want a half but I dont know how much wind it blocks.

I haven't tried a windshield but the knock on the full one's is it creates a vacuum and sucks the dreaded dust into the cabin.

If you go with a half windshield, raise it a couple inches and it won't cause as much of a suction in the cab. It also helps if you use a cold weather block off kit to seal up under the dash and the front fenders.

i take my 1/2 off in summer and use it in colder times it blocks alot keeps my hands and most of my face from falling off.....

I've used both, a full and 1/2. I wouldn't recommend using one if you ride in dusty conditions like here in AZ! The windshield gets dusted quickly and you can't see through it. Besides, I like the cooling effect of the wind that you get without a windshield.

i have the half window and it works good to keep alot of the wind out of the cab , just make sure you raise it off the hood a couple inches so it doesnt create so much vacum .

I have the polycarbonate L&R full windshield, and a buddy has the moose fold down windshield.

The moose folddown windshield sucks because it scratches easy and you loose the rubber pucks.

The full windshield sucks because you get no air flow.

What we need is a polycarbonate L&R fold down windshield. I don't know if anybody makes that or not.

I made my Own fold down.. I LOVE it. When its cold, Raining or dusty it helps a ton. It is a little warm on hot days since it blocks pretty much all the air. I plan on adding vents to the bottem that I can open when needed. We only fold it down if we are in a lot of mud or if its really hot. I made mine out of polycarbonate. My front and back window cost about 120 bucks to make..

We love running the half windshield and raising it off of the hood is a must, one thing we didn't like about having the windshield raised was how it vibrated. In the photo below you can see we installed an aluminum windshield stiffener so that the windshield would stay put. The stiffener is installed with stainless steel fasteners and the piece with the fasteners is for sale for $49.00 if you are interested. Remember the 10% forum discount.

got a polaris half window and it does a good job of deflecting wind. mine is at lowest position, but as long as you are in front, dust aint an issue

I had a half windshield and I thought it let too much air in the cab. Replaced it with a cool flow, which lets in some air at the bottom (3 inch gap with extra piece to put on when cold). For hot desert rides I prefer the dust to the 45 mile an hour wind in my face. Sure is nice when it's cold too. The half windshield was too much wind, couldn't duck below or above. If your going slow in the woods, may be a different story.

Thanks for all the input . Im I Arkansas so I get hot in the summer and cold in the winter so i still dont know . I think im going to get a half . I think it might be the best of both worlds .I can still get air and i can block some .
