The Official Military RZR SW

Thought some of you would appreciate a few pics of the actual military version of the RZR. It is known as the RZR SW(Special Warfare). It is basically a RZR S with a few notable differences. The differences are:

Factory steel rims with bead guards( not beadlocks)

Different back on seats with holes for shoulder harness (not installed)

Bed rack attached to rear of rollcage with integrated slots for a litter, additional equipment mount points (pioneer tools, etc) in bed behind horizontal bar/seats.

Tan color body panels.

None of the items are commercially available (yet. I will post another thread on how "we" can collectively get a message back to POPO on what needs to be fixed and what we want).

Other than what I listed above, it is a standard RZR S. Sorry for the crappy cell phone photos.

Did you notice, how they're running the skinnier tires on the back.

Re: The Official Military RZR SW

Wonder how it's going to look after they attach the #2000 lbs of armor our vehicles need these days.

Guess they could use it on military bases but they went away from the Jeeps because they rolled too easy. I've heard RZR's can roll too.

If you look you will see that they also removed the knee and shoulder bars from the vehicle. Reason for that and the seats pictured is to make it easier to get in And out of. If you've ever worn body armor and had to get in and out of a vehicle, you appreciate the extra space seats like that provide.

Other mods I failed to mention is that it has an aluminum skid plate and it has no key but a military type start flip switch and an additional cigarette plug and a military socket/ slave port on the dash.

It's not intended to be up armored, it kind of defeats the purpose of using this type of vehicle. This vehicle is aimed at the SOF community where we typically use quads depending on the mission. It's not uncommon to see quads used on combat/ prescence patrols or to provide recon/ overwatch for the gun trucks.
