ride alone or carry a friend?

just wanted to ask..
how do you guys and gals ride most of the time..
alone or with a passenger?
for some reason i rather ride alone.
i only weigh 140 lbs. and my rzr is fast..when someone rides with me i feel like i`m dragging an anchor around...
i`m going to carry a friend on a big ride this weekend i hope i have fun...
be the first time i carried someone with me on a big ride...
it will be this guy`s first time at on a real ATV ride..he just turned 20 and he has only rode his dad`s Honda deer hunting. he is excited...

might be fun just seeing the fun he is having....

any commits...thanks mudd

I've almost always got someone with me. It' still fun. I camp and ride so everybody wants to go for a ride! It's always fun to take someone new...scare the crap out of him!

Re: ride alone or carry a friend?

My girlfriend is usually the co-pilot when we go riding and I think it's fun as hell to scare the $#@* out of her. She loves it to so it works out. I think that is what is so great about these; the passengers have just as much fun as the drivers(until they drive it, of course).

It may slow you down a bit, but its fun seeing someone share the enjoyment with you.

Like J to the B said, when ever we go out with a group, everyone wants a ride!! Even the Teryx and Rhino guys

Most of the time I have some one with me. It's more fun that way. Once in awhile I will take a trip by myself but enjoy it more with a passenger. I am not real comfortable when I am the passenger though.

Re: ride alone or carry a friend?

I like to ride alone most of the time, but really enjoy when somebody gets in the co-pilot seat (aka winch b__ch). If I know I'm gonna be looking to get stuck, I bring a friend. I try to warn them that they will get dirty, but nobody really understands what my dirty means until they are wearing an extra skin of mud and their clothes are soaked through...

yea that's kinda what i was getting at..when i ride alone rzr rides fine..
most adults weigh more than i do so with a passenger my rzr "FEELS"
like it is leaning that way..

when my daughter rides with me it`s still rides good. she is 13 years old.
however she is not going because she thinks it`s not KEWL to hang out with the parents..LOL!!!

is there anyway to keep this "leaning" from happening?

Re: ride alone or carry a friend?

Add more preload to the spring on the heavier side. There were pics of A rzr modified with hand control that was center steer and only one seat in the center. It looked very cool.

Re: ride alone or carry a friend?

crazy, do you know were that pic is, I've thought of taking a RZR apart and lowering the cg, by lowering the seat to the center and redoing the gas tank, may have to redo front(dash, hood, etc) depending on how low you can drop the seat, to be able to see out.
Thanks,
Clyde
Forgot the question, I ride lone most all the time.

Re: ride alone or carry a friend?

I'm usually a solo rider but I bought the RZR to change that. I hate riding 2 up on a normal ATV. Went for my first real ride with a passenger yesterday and we both had a blast. You need to take it a bit slower on the jumps and whoops though, the extra weight can really be felt.

I really enjoy having someone to talk to next to me while ridding, it's a very different experience vs single seater ATV's.

I don't mind riding with my woman, I keep the radio up anyway so if she is screaming about my driving I can't hear, she is also great for cracking another cold one for me on the trip!
