Map2 Rolled both RZR's this weekend

So I get a new set of paddles for my S and head on out to Coos Bay Friday after work. We get to the dunes and go for a night ride. My wife is the passenger, we hit the first dune and I go to spin it around to wait for the others. Thar sucker bit like crazy and rolled over on my wifes side then the roof and came to rest on my side. We almost made it all the way over. The stock seat belt held great and no injuries. The regular rzr rolled onto its side when I let a friends son drive it. No damage and these things can take some abuse.

Running 4 x 4 has more of a tendency to roll? I rolled mine in 2 wd. My fender is still pushed out a little. I like the way it looks. It's a battle scar.

I was in 4wd, and the only thing that happend was my passenger headlight popped back a little. I need to pop it back.
With paddles the cornering at higher speeds seems like it wants to dig. Does this have anything to do with the smoothies?

How did the factory cages do on the roll-overs? Any Pics?

Re: Rolled both RZR's this weekend

Alan rolled his this past weekend...

No real damage, also did a 3/4 roll! The cage still looks new, not bent at all. People talk a lot of crap about the stock cage, but they sure work well when needed.

no damage, just a little rub where the roof hit the top of the cage. It will buff right out.

Re: Rolled both RZR's this weekend

I flopped my 2008 onto the passenger side on the beach once and it bent the cage.
I have seen some 2009 RZR-S's that have rolled and they didn't bend like my 2008 did.
So the 2009 cage is definately stronger than the 2008.
I still ordered an aftermarket cage though. It isn't worth the gamble to run the stock "cab frame" in my opinion (especially the way I drive it)!

There are two kinds of RZR's:
Those that have rolled, and those that haven't rolled yet!

Re: Rolled both RZR's this weekend

I just "layed" it over @ moab. It went about 110 degress. Bent the "roof holder" over to the drivers side. The "roof holder" is now history, being replaced with a solid cage. By the way your roll over should have convenienced you to get 4pt's. You were lucky with your stock belts,
IMHO,
John

you should get some 4 points and a real cage. I saw a guy roll his 08 down at Winchester
.....stock cage and stock seat belts. His face looked like someone kicked his butt. and the cage was toast

Really? Wow, that is something to think about. I have the 4 points in the rzr I bought from bigmike and I freaking hate them. They are way to restritive. We were wearing helmets, do you guys? I need to get some seat adjusters for the drivers seat in both, any suggestions?

Damn - one more thing to spend money on. . . well - two actually - Belts and Cage.

I'm going to try to take it easy and avoid the roll. I gotta watch it. I can see how guys end up with $20k+++ into their RZR-S'.

I bought the seat adjuster from ebay that works like a car adjuster. I have the 4 point harnesses and my girl can't reach the steering wheel with the harness on so I found this. It replaces you stock seat bottoms. I haven't got it yet, but I will take some pics of it when I get it.
