Pismo Beach / Oceano Dunes

I took my RZR and 6yr old daughter to Pismo yesterday. It was the most fun day of riding I have ever had at Pismo. The RZR did great, I can't believe it lands so good. I ran my Maxxis Bighorns with 4 psi in the front and 6 psi in the rear. They did fine.

As much fun as I had, I was reminded of why I quit going to Pismo. The camp on one side of us were playing death metal etc with profanity. They kept hauling a@@ next to the kid track and through camps. There were several young kids in our camp. The camp on the otherside of us was playing spanish music and rap. It reminds me a lot of going to Baja, with all of the Mexican flags, Spanish music and trash all over the place.

I completely understand why they want to close that place down. I know the people in this forum are not the pigs who get us kicked out of public lands, so sorry for the diatribe.

Re: Pismo Beach / Oceano Dunes

Hey,

I just bought a RZR and I'm new to California. I'm in Los Angeles, now. Where's a good site I can read about directions and stuff to Pismo? I've always wanted to take one of these to the dunes, and Pismo sounds like a great place to try it...

Pismo is great, but I know what you mean, I do one of two things to try and avoid what you described. Go during off time, like weekdays or the colder seasons, tends to be less crowded, and or go with a group, at least this way you have a better chance of isolating your chosen camp area with your friends, their trailers, etc.

I guess that's why I'm glad to live in Montana where we don't have to put up with dinks like that. Up here if they disturb us, we initiate them if ya know what I mean. You won't find any Mexican flags here either.
