New member with a Question....
Hey RZR guys!
Im new here and I have a question to ask you.
I am in the market of buying a new UTV. Im located in Arkansas and 95% of the time I will be on the National Forest Trails. They consist of rock climbing, mudding, climbing steep hills, forging creeks, going over a bunch of down trees in the way, excedera.....
Im looking at a RZR and a Rhino 700. I just cant make up my mind. What do you guys recommend? I will definately need ground clearance and big tires.
Also, how is the belt life on one of these. I hear the Rhinos outlast the Rzrs by a longshot. Is that true?
Any info will be very appreciated!
Thanks.. - Jon

Re: New member with a Question....
Im in the same situation as Jon as far as the rzr/rhino comparison goes. I know the rzr is faster and better on the trails, but I am concerned with durability and longevity of the machine. The Rhino is already proven at least in the 660. Does anyone have experience with both?

Re: New member with a Question....
I like two cylinders pulling this kind of waight.. no rhino for me. ranger yell's old man or work horse. no ranger for me. kawi wasent out yet when i bought mine but from what i can see the rzr is still for me. i cruz fast open trails that are 100 miles into the middle of know where. I come across deep mud steep hills down tree's rough and rockie trails.
i ride the forist of mi ky tn wv ind and canada. the rzr is great so far. 1000 miles no belt probloms. and i won small mud bog.

Re: New member with a Question....
Durability for most won't be a problem. I ride hard and mine has held up for about two months of riding with 0 problems. I fly though deep whoops, climb stuff I shoulden't and push it as fast as I can where ever I go.
I rode with some Rhinos this weekend and they impressed me even less then before. We constantly had to wait for them, either the whoops were too big or they had to find an alternate route.
The width is also a factor. I can squeeze in tight trails where no Rhino can go. Unless you plan to work with your maching quite regularly, there is no need to by a Rhino, unless you like to go slow.

Re: New member with a Question....
I have 1500 miles on the original belt. Keep an eye on the boot that goes from the air box to the efi unit. If the rzr starts running bad, its more than likely that boot allowing dirty air into the motor. Other than the air box, I don't think there are many major gripes about durability.

Re: New member with a Question....
I have a ranger and a rzr. I have never had a belt problem and I ride them both pretty hard. I would get a rzr over the rhino. My buddy has a rhino and all he wants to do when we go riding is drive my razor. The razor is much better.
