Were did you find those ? These things are half sled half wheeler.I have yet to get mine stuck in the snow but little hight would not hurt.Even in the deep stuff or snow drifts it floats on the belly and 27" ITP mud lights paddle like he!! .Snow Surfin in AK. USA.

Re: pic's of shock spacers

hi articrzr i think johnny got his front spring spacers from hunter works. thats where i got mine. cost $65. I also put 2 inch highlifter lift kit on mine. $259. this will give you 13.5 inch's of clearance under your skid plate. i need to find away to install rear spring spacers because at the rear of the skid theres only 12.75 inch's of clearance. my spring compresser wont fit rear spring. when i find away to do this i will be pushing 14 inch's of ground clearance. not bad for $389. install's where easy. hunterworks has a install vidio on line for front spring spacer. he also offers lift kit. i liked highlifter's kit better. also should tell you i have 27 inch mud lights. this helps with the clearance. the tires did rub inner fender well a little in sharp turns and rough trais. the spring spacers fixed it .no more rubbing.

Re: pic's of shock spacers

Hey mdevans , Im getting ready to buy a lift kit. Why did you choose highlifter 2"+ spacers over the hunterworks/extreme 3" that comes with spacers.

Re: pic's of shock spacers

I talked with highlifter and thay said that there lift kit was stronger than most other kits. when i looked into it i agreed. the only problem i had with install was the bolts that bolted the front lift bracket to the upper a-arm. one of the hole's was off by a little bit. I called and bitched. dident help. so i ran a drill bit through the a-arm hole to match the bracket. the worst thing that could happen is i would have to replace a-arm. not likly. so i was ok with it. I am a picky a$$$-hole and i like the kit. hope this helps you.

Re: pic's of shock spacers

I made my own compressor that works great with the small shocks on ATVs and buggies. It's just a length of Unistrut, a piece of 3" angle iron with a slot for the shock rod, one Unistrut nut & bolt to hold the angle iron down, a length of 1 x 1/8 strap steel bent to form a handle. Drill a couple holes through the handle for a clevis pin (or a bolt) to pass through the shock eye. The longer the handle, the less effort in squeezing a shock. Mine's about 2' long.

The ratchet strap in the picture isn't normally needed but helps to hold the spring compressed while screwing on the shock eye for the types that come apart that way.

Re: pic's of shock spacers

Ok guys, sometimes you must get creative. The above tool created has some time involved but It is probably safe and user friendly. Here is a bit of a caveman solution ,nothin against cavepeople. It is probably not as safe and can be frustating.Tie wire. some stong tensle strength but still flexable.wrap each end around top then bottom of spring ,twist slack out of wire with pliers. To tight brakes wire = frustration. do the same on the oposite side ,again and again and again---- DO PUT DOUBLERS as safetys every inch or so. If it is loaded with spring power and you brake one while twisting it will snap other tie wires holding= unsafe and starting over or frustrating. So use alot of tie wires.
