who makes polaris engines?

Robin (a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries, which is the owner of Subaru) develops and supplies all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and snowmobile engines for U.S.-based leisure equipment maker Polaris Industries Inc. Starting in 1995 with the Polaris Magnum 425 4-stroke atv and in 1997, with the introduction of the "twin 700" snowmobile engine Polaris started the development and production of in-house produced powerplants, known as the "Liberty" line of engines, now found in many models across their current production lines. This production makes many Polaris products 100% American made. Fuji Heavy Industries now also maintains a US based production plant, in conjunction with Polaris, so that all engines are now American Made.

Now look who else Fugi Heavy Industries is assossiated with:
Manufactured by HiSun in co-operation with Japan Fuji heavy industries (Subaru)

If you are gonna copy Wikipedia, you should at least read the whole thing. Here is the rest of the important part from Wikipedia.

"On May 21, 2010, Polaris announced that it was moving its Osceola, Wisconsin parts plant to Mexico. The move is anticipated to save the company $30 million annually, with most of that savings coming from lower wages."

The Osceola plant is the Liberty plant.

Polaris adds jobs to Wisconsin plant that once seemed doomed to close
Polaris Industries Inc. will boost hiring at a Wisconsin plant that, not all that long ago, seemed doomed to close.

The Medina-based maker of motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATVs said that it'll add 89 jobs in Osceola, Wis., over the next few years. The hiring will make the company eligible for tax breaks in the state, the Star Tribune reports.

Polaris was on its way out the door in Osceola little more than a year ago, but things turned around when business improved and the company bought two new businesses: Indian motorcycles and Global Electric Motorcars (GEM).

Re: who makes polaris engines?

Is there an actual point to this thread? Why ask a question that when you already know the answer?

Re: who makes polaris engines?

I'm curiuos to see what polaris will do with Indian motorcycle. Last year I saw an article that they were going to build a totally new bike, not just copy the Victory.

Re: who makes polaris engines?

Robin/Subarua/Fuji makes and has made engines for many applications for multiple companies for many years.

1) Dont believe WIKI, its about 70-80% accurate if you are lucky, anyone can update a page.

2) include the entire article or segment, not just a piece of it.

3) Read and understand what you are posting and make it so others can understand it too.

4) Don't assume that Robin makes ALL of the Polaris engines just becuase it makes some. Your XP or 570 or whatever you have may not be among them.

5) Don't support companies that send manufacturing off to Mehico so they can put more money in their pockets and jack up the prices of their crappy and increasingly expensive products to consumers. Prices sure havent gone down since that plant was moved to Mehico and they saved close to 100 MILLION DOLLARS BY NOW!!!!

Re: who makes polaris engines?

plus that's not the only source that says Fuji heavy industries is assossiated with polaris and hisun. and all im tryng to say is. ppl judge way to fast and as soon as they hear something is made in china is junk, now saying that I will also say that I was out on the hisun yesterday and had good time, but when I went back to my rzr I couldn't believe just how different they are and home much above the hisun my rzr is. ive never drove a rhino so cant compare it to the hisun but the rzr is a fantastic machine.
