Finished 1st Fluid Changes

Just completed changing ALL fluids in my RZR. I decided to do this early after checking the levels and discovering that BOTH the front drive and rear end were EXTREMELY LOW. I'm very lucky in that I have only 19 miles on the unit, however I would sincerely advise anyone to check their fluid levels as soon as you get the unit home, irregardless of whether the dealer says that they have checked it.

NOW FOR A QUESTION? Upon checking the fluid in the rear end, I discovered that it had a MILKY color. What could have caused this and would this be a WARRANTY issue?

Re: Finished 1st Fluid Changes

hitman,
engine & filter - engine drain thru skidpan opening
front drive
transmission - drain thru skidpan opening
main gearcase - drain thru skidpan opening
rear drive - drain thru skidpan opening
The owners manual contains the part #'s and approx. quantities to fill each. Unfornately each drain plug is a little different so they all require a different tool. Hope this helps a little.

Re: Finished 1st Fluid Changes

John,
I'm just guessing, but when you said a SIMPLE answer, is the source of water a hard problem to locate/fix and is a BAD problem. Should I be concerned? Thks Bart

Re: Finished 1st Fluid Changes

I asked the same question today in another thread and got two different answers. One said same color as oil and other said blueish/grey. Now I'm confused.

Re: Finished 1st Fluid Changes

Thans for the advice. I did happen to save the OLD but have not looked at yet. As to spending time in the H2O or pressure washing, I had done neither when I discovered the discoloration. But you can BET you last dollar that I'm going to check all the fluids/levels much more frequently. Thks again, Bart
