NEW RZR-S specific Section

I know that all RZR units are very close in specs, but some things with the "S" are specific, and trying to search for new RZR-S posts is a bit taxing. Sooo...How about a separate section title in this forum under RZR-S so that those questions, discussions, and possibly future problems with the "S" model can be neatly kept in one area? It can be a section where can we group our questions about setting the Fox Shox, or problems / fixes for the H.O. Motor?

What do you think?

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

While I like the idea, my only concern is the separation of the community! I have seen in some cases when a new (better) product comes out, you'll find a "new" and "better" influx of elitist members, and there's sometimes a clash between them and the folks who have been around awhile..... This could go both ways.....

Let's run this poll for a week, and we'll go with the popular vote!

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

Brian ... I voted for it ... but after getting bashed for buy a "S" I am starting to think we may want to keep it all main streamed. I don't know ... I am against the fence about it now! Maybe wait until the newness wears off or the "S" population grows.

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

I don't think there is enough difference to have a seperate forum. Other than long travel, I believe most of the topics would benefit both. A better idea would be to create a "Long Travel" section that way everyone with long travel could benefit, including the S models.

"Long Travel" --> Anything related to LT kits, shocks, axles, A-arms etc

"Suspension" --> Standard travel shocks, axles, A-arms etc.

That would help narrow down the searches, I know I read through a lot of LT stuff looking for info about standard travel shocks, that was a pain in the butt.

Just my $0.02

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

Im not suggesting a new forum, Just a new section. The RZR-S Section. This way you can post observations, and complaints about your "S" Model. Maybe we'll wind up having our own unique problems with the "S" Model. Maybe our own unique recalls? Thats why I suggested that we make a section just for the S. Keep all the info on this model in its own section...

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

i like the idea of an s specific question section. i dont think this seperates the owners but it jsut specifies the two different models becasue they do use different parts and designs

i already have a question specific to s owners. will the uni filter off my 08 work in the S? i bought a new stock filter for my s and it is a different part number and filter then i used to buy for my 08.

thanks for any help

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

also agree with NJMR2Fan about the recalls. With different motors and suspensions and clutches there may be recall specific to the S model and this would keep people from getting the recalls confused with regualr models

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

why don't we have special place for rzr's that have all the different brands and aftermarket companies products because each has its own unique issues associated with fancy stickers, a reprogramed computer, suspention, and tires. I'm already confused, don't we have these same issues with the regular rzr. And how do you know if the issues don't aply to both rzr's if the topics are kept seperate.

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

Well for some things they could apply to both. But from what I have seen so far there are numerous part numbers on the rzr S that make it quite different. But this isn't saying that if they recalled the seats or seatbelts that are the same for both that it couldn't have its own post on the main board

Just my thoughts and everyone is gonna have there own opinions. I just hate having to sift through normal posts to look if there is a thred about a S question I have

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

I don't think an "S" specific section will help. For instance, this is supposed to be a "Forum Help" section and you've got threads on Half Door, Air Filters, Stereos, etc. Just my 2 cents.

Re: NEW RZR-S specific Section

your first question compares the rzr and rzr s. you already did what you were trying to avoid!!! Its obviouse that they have different part numbers so why is it soo difficult to get info on your parts? to know if your filters are compatable would do you no good in a rzr s only disscusion, unless you already owned(a standard rzr) one and in that case you should know the answer to your question.
