Why can't you use search if its under 4 characters? ex.(itp)

Silly requirement. Can't search for favorite "oil", "gas" or even "Rzr" 
Can this be changed?

I believe it works if you add a 'wildcard' such as '*' to the end. (ex. ITP*)

Negative. I just tried to search this forum for "gas*" and it did not find this thread.
