Re: which turbo

Both kits seem to work great. I think its all in your preference.

There is no right answer. What is best for you might not be what is best for someone else. All kits have pros and cons. And like Mike said, if you are looking at high HP you need to consider the Weber engine swap as an option too. Again a different set of pros and cons...

The MCX was the best choice for me.

Re: which turbo

I like mcx I like the fact that you lower your compression that means more reliable power you can run 11 psi of boost give Chris a call from MCX 954-790-0458 and if you think about it tell Chris Steven said call aerocharger only runs 6 psi

Re: which turbo

the mcx kit seems to be a little quieter then the aerocharger set up but I think I remember that aerocharger was looking at a different exhaust tone but Im not sure. the aerocharger will spool up faster and is a lot easier to install and the stock 6psi with no lag will be plenty and then if you do go with forged piston and a lower compression then the boost can be turned up, if your running pump gas. Im at 5000 feet and run 12psi with a 50/50 mix of 91/110 race gas.

The aerocharger is making big numbers with their stage 3 kit with a lot less money and their not tearing into the engine either.

Re: which turbo

Midwest, first of all I have the MCX, since june of 08 and realy have no regrets. Bigmike has gotten the most out of his car and probably be the first across the line unless there is an 8yr old in the race!!!
But I noticed that you are doing mosly trailriding in your question. When I ride the trails I rerely am into the boost. Unless you are @ high altitude and power you won't be using the power. When we are down by the SAlton Sea riding fast river washes and sand I'm using 3-5#s, but I'm sure a stock would be right there, they were.
The turbo is a must for fast duning, climbing fire roads, etc. I notice that you have a low use count which might mean that you RZR is new. With a Turbo, don't consider trying for a warrentee repair unless your dealer installed your turbo and is awfully progressive, Just a thought.
