Re: Sneak Peak!! Factory UTV Doors
Nice Doors! Do they work for all generations of RZRs? One of the other guys making suicide doors told me that due to some Polaris design tweeks, his doors only worked on Generation 1 RZRs.
Will they be available as just bare tubes without the plastic? Or is the plastic necessary for structural strength and rigidity? |

I like them, but what about flaring them out at the top in the middle a bit just to make the cab feel a little more roomy, and/or to make room for some of the aftermarket wide seats that are available? Here are a couple of my old Rhino just as an example. By the way, awesome doors! If you do widen them up a bit, I am in for sure!!
I think this will be a great idea. I like to have door (hate the nets), but somehow with my 6'3" and long leg I stick my knee out little bit thru net all the time and I am worry I would feel cramped by the door. But flaring them out could do the trick. IMHO Milos

Re: Sneak Peak!! Factory UTV Doors
What are they made from?
How much do they weight? Are the skins replaceable? Shipping cost to 44307?

Re: Sneak Peak!! Factory UTV Doors
WOW!!! Thanks for the GREAT response everybody. We are planning a first run of 10 door sets. If you want to secure doors from that first run we're going to accept a $50 deposit. If we get more than 10 deposits we'll build more than 10 doors, up to 15 sets in the first run. Please understand that a deposit is NOT required to buy the doors, it'll just secure you a set from the first run.
Now to answer as many questions as possible in one post, (If I missed yours let me know).... 1) The doors weigh less than 10 lbs apiece, but I don't have the exact weight and the RZR is out on a trip right now. They are constructed from mild steel tubing and the plastics are optional and mostly cosmetic other than they may protect you some from splashing mud or water 2) Shipping will be whatever UPS ground charges from the 95864 zipcode. We don't make money on shipping, our cost is your cost and we'll give you package dimensions before hand so you can verify that with the UPS shipping calculator... 3) The doors mount using all existing RZR mounting locations. Anybody with even a little experience turning wrenches should be able to mount these doors. We'll have complete instructions and support of course. 4) The doors will not come with the bulged sides, I am as big as just about anybody who will ever operate the RZR and the doors are ergonomically excellent for me and everyone else of many varied sizes who drove it. Space is just not an issue. 5) Great customer service is our #1 goal. If there is ever a problem with one of our doors due to a manufacturing defect on our part, we will stand behind it, period. Thanks for all the positive comments on the doors, we really are excited about how they turned out... |
