Re: Factory UTV UHMW Skid Plates
I'll keep my UHMW skid plates. Before I put it on I too had bent my frame cross members all the way up to the driveshafts. I cut them out, straightened and reenforced them, and welded them back in with gussets. I now have NO problems since the UHMW skid. You need to do some research with your own machine, instead of reading what problems someone else had and assume that it is fact.

Re: Factory UTV UHMW Skid Plates
You can put anything negative you want to. But you say this is "real world". It doesn't get anymore real world than my bent frame rails. Have you bent your frame rails? Or are you just going off what someone else posted? How much rock crawling do you do? It doesn't get anymore "REAL" than Moab when it comes to rock crawling. Don't get your panties in a bunch. If you read my post I put what I have found to work best for ME. I didn't IMPLY anything!

Re: Factory UTV UHMW Skid Plates
By the way I used a 3/16 drill bit and a 1/4 x 20 thread tap for the front skid plate – with the ( factory bolts from the side of the RZR as per the instructions included

Re: Factory UTV UHMW Skid Plates
My UTV skid plate is in my garage. I'm saving it for my new RZR S. But I've done enough research on my own to know for a fact they hold up better then the aluminum ones. Thanks UTV
