Re: Gibson Exhaust
Gibson is claiming 5-7hp with no controller. Other pipes you need to pack every 12 hrs and require a controller to get peak hp out of them. I dont have one YET but I would say go Gibson. Just my 2 food stamps.

That was a main reason go with Gibson, no re-packing. Not sure , if gain in hp could be that high without controller ( I do have Power Commander III USB, but need to try different set up ), but no more packing was big plus for me.

Re: Gibson Exhaust
I couldn't seat of the pants feel a difference and I'm with the crowd that wants to bolt it on and never touch it again.
I like the Gibson.

Re: Gibson Exhaust
Just couple numbers.
OEM exhaust weight 17 #
Gibson Exhaust weight 11 # including heat shield
OEM Noise
Idle 80 decibels
2750 rpm 84 decibels
3700 rpm 90 decibels
4500 rpm 92 decibels
6000 rpm 94 decibels
decibels meter was lying on passenger side seat.
I will measure the same way with the Gibson. I just run it for minute, but I think is the lauder, but very nice sound.

Re: Gibson Exhaust
This is a decibels level with Gibson.
Idle 80 decibels
2750 RPM 88 decibels
3700 RPM 90 Decibels
4500 RPM 94 decibels
6000 RPM 98 decibels
Little bit louder, but I would say more pleasant sound.
Very happy with it.

That's about what I would have guessed Milos, and I love the sound

Re: Gibson Exhaust
This exhaust looks really nice installed thanks for posting the pics fellas and or ladies if any of you posted. I have been looking at exhaust recently and think this one looks perfect. Any recommendations of a fuel controller to run with the gibson?

We are running the Boondocker and are very happy with it, pretty much plug and play, send me a PM if you are interested in one. All the controllers out there seem to get the job done. I've always had really good luck with Power Commanders for instance.

Re: Gibson Exhaust
You guys wont be sorry getting the Gibson exhaust. It very well made and sounds great. I got rid of a $900 set of Two Brother's and switched to the Gibson. After 20 minutes of riding with the Two Brother's your ears started to literally hurt. With the Gibson, I can actually listen to tunes or talk to the wife as we cruz around. And never having to mess with re-packing a muffler....priceless....
I've heard it sounds even better with the end cap off (at least on a Rhino).
