Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Anyone have any setup that uses the FMF slip on from Polaris for the RZR? I purchased a used one and wanted a couple pics of exactly how it bolts up to the existing frame. I recieved a couple springs but no add'l hardware to bolt the shield to the pipe, and the back of the exhasut can to the frame.
Thanks for any info

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
i will try to take a picture of the directions from my kit and also some pics of the pipe installed but it will be tomm afternoon before i can just send me a pm tomm and remind me you should have a a little metal rod about a 1/4 inch in diameter with a tab weld onto it that is the rear hanger and you have to cut about six inches off the stock pipe heat shield and use the stock bolts to bolt it to the fmf but i really like mine i dont think you will be disappointed i will help all i can with the install it is pretty easy though the hardest part is getting the springs back on when reassembling it i will ge tthose pics tomm. afternoon but send me a pm to remind me i tend to forget sometimes -bone-

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to the pics of the install, that will help out. I purchased this used on ebay, it is in great shape, but I did not receive any instructions. All I have is the pipe, 2 springs, and the metal rod hanger bracket that slides over the can.
Thanks again......

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Fairly easy to install. I would not call it loud, but it is an improvement over stock. I think I would still be interested in a complete setup with header. I have not seen any shootouts done with actual testing and reported gains.

Check out a spring install tool, the make life SOOOOO much easier and they're inexpensive. I always keep one and a spare spring in my tool kit.

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Take a old screwdriver and a dremal tool with a cut off wheel and make one. Just cut a 45 degree slit in the side of a flat head.

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Or use a brake spring tool. I like rzriders tool for the large springs. That sounds brokeback as hell. You know what i mean.

Re: Polaris FMF Powerline Exhaust
Ya,I know but aplication sometimes requires shorter or longer and if you dont pull strait (which I am by the way)the actual tool will bend.I know this because I own one. I also have 2 sleds and now the rzr so why move tools from machine to machine. just make more.
