Code 41 & running like sh%$#t

My RZR has 20 hours on it and it started running like it is on 1 cylinder. It is giving me code 41 air intake temp sensor error. Is this common could it be dirt or moisture?..

I have read a few cases of cleaning the sensor cures the problem. Use some of that Mass Airflow Sensor cleaner in the spray can.

there are 2 for code 41

code 41 is

intake air sensor : short circuit to ground.

intake air sensor : open or short circuit to + SENSOR VOLTAGE ( ecu )

THATS WHAT THE BOOK SAY'S

Re: Code 41 & running like sh%$#t

I think you get a code 41 anytime the temp sensor in the T-bap sensor goes out of range. That could be caused by a short, an open or just oil or dirt contamination. Early SP800's had a problem with the connector loosening--I hope we're not revisiting that old problem. Clean the T-bap and the connection & apply dielectric grease to the inside of the connector.

I tried everything!!! I guess it's back to the dealer... The sensor was clean. I checked the wiring and nothing is broken...I did find out the plastic skid plate is useless. Mine was broken in a few places. Thanks for all your input guys.

Well...I took it to the dealer...it turns out that 3 wires were broken in the loom that goes from front to back. They were pinched between the plastic body and frame. I did check them before I took it but they were not visually broken. Lesson here...get a Good aluminum skid plate BEFORE rock crawling!
