Getting bed off RZR 800 - bed removal

Can someone please point me to the thread(s) on how to get my bed off? I'm sure there are hundreds of them, but on my iPad I can't find any. Thanks.

If I remember correctly it's pretty straight forward. 4 bolts in bed, undo flares from middle-side panels and I think 2 or 3 up by the seats where the clutch intakes are.

Brilliant. But why didn't the guy on YouTube just talk his way through it so I knew which screws he was pulling?!?! Thanks guys.

Re: Getting bed off RZR 800 - bed removal

ya, it is pretty obvious when you go to do it.

4 bolts in bed.
4 torx behind seats on bed tunnel.
4 torx in the back above the hitch.
and a couple panel clips on the sides / fenders.
also unplug the tail lights under the bed on the driver side.

if you had an S there would also be a couple on the flares to remove.

I have the deluxe brush guard that I had to jury rig on in back above the hitch. Thanks guys, I knew I could count on a quick reply. I appreciate it.

And my fender flare bolts are rusted on too. So I'm cutting those off now. Best advice I can give someone is to never screw ANYTHiNG onto a RZR that isn't stainless. I paid $200 for the flares that are now rusted on. $hit

You're discovering, first-hand, with one, small, isolated example, what they refer to when they talk about the high cost of education..............LOL.

Cheers

Damn you aren't kidding. The other side went quicker, but I did have to cut all three bolts off on that side. And then, after all of that, my SuperATV add-on roll bars (that make it look like an S), plus the fender flares, prevented me from getting the bed all the way off anyway. But I made room to change the spark plug, got my bad exhaust gasket off (why aren't those four bolts stainless?!), and have motivated myself to finally do the LED taillight conversion and add my second reverse light. So all was not lost. Took almost 2.5 hours though and my garage is full of dried mud that came off from some of those hidden spots behind the fenders. Thanks again guys.

And don't forget to stock up on Polaris push-rivets

Put a little anti-seize on the flare bolts and your problem will disappear. I don't really like stainless fasteners, they gall so easy and when you gall one...you've really got a pain in the A##
