CVT Clutch to bike transmission

Anybody know someone that is doing this conversion? Putting the Polaris clutch on a motorcycle tranny for motor swap.....

I'm using the Yamaha apex snowmobile engine. It's an R1 motor but has output shafts for CVT easy conversion and lots of power

dont see this happening. not enough room. bearing on bike shaft might not support the weight plus this defeats having a trans with gears

Re: CVT Clutch to bike transmission

R1 motor would be sick!

Snowmobile engine would be easier if you can figure out the cooling....

Truck having the CVT and a 5or6 gear tranny would be a bit silly but in the tight trails it would be easy to idle around and ride in groups where you aren't always moving fast.

However, it wouldn't be that hard to mate a sprocket to the Polaris tranny and just run a chain to it.

Now.....where to put the clutch and shifter

Re: CVT Clutch to bike transmission

You can have the CVT with a snowmobile engine or a sequential transmission with a bike engine, not both.
