Power Commander III or what?
I am interested in any info on the Power Commander III. Who is running one and you likes or dislikes. Are you running the ignition module also? Does anyone know if it will hook up to a wideband AFR that has data logger out on it. I am starting my research on what to buy ... so any input would be great!! Good or bad!! Even if there is something else I should be looking at?

Re: Power Commander III or what?
cwspfx - I'm like you, doing a lot of research first. Talking with Todd at High Tech HP, I decided to put in the NGK A/F monitor first and then see if I needed the PCIII. I've added a DFR sems-sealed air cleaner and have a Gibson Performance exhaust that isn't on yet...waiting to get the O2 sensor installed from the A/F monitor. Todd's point is - know if you're going to need the PCIII before spending the $$$ Rooster5488

Re: Power Commander III or what?
I'm using Innovate Motorpsorts datalogging toys with power commander. The main problem is to solid all connection and re programm all electrical valuses - calibrations its means.
You can connect your laptop and waqtch live all values.

Shelton - can you give me more information on what Innovate Motorsports system you are using. I'd like to read up on it! Thanks, Rooster5488

Re: Power Commander III or what?
I have a A/F up and working. According to it ... I am not running lean. what I am thinking is, that the S already has different fuel mapping because of the header and cam it has. But I am eyeing that 46 MM throt body and intake ... and know that will have to need some more fuel. The main reason I am liking the PC III is because of the LCD screen that plugs into the USB port of the PC III and you can store different fuel maps and change on the fly ...what I am worried about is being the genie pig with the S ...is it the same or ? Who has done any dyno testing with the S and different fuel controllers ... I don't think anyone has. Is the fuel mapping the same on the HO motor or ?
I am not reall interested in a DATA logger .... just a controler. I guess it is going to take some phone calls and maybe some dyno time.

Re: Power Commander III or what?
Power Commander to adjust AFR. Innovate parts to get infromation from engine. This is simple. I'm using inftomation from datalogger to get RPM, TPS, AFR.
I can easy read where add fuel and where to minus. After that, we are writing infromation into PC3 and checking data at next test run.

Re: Power Commander III or what?
AHHH ... so you suggest the PC3 as far as fuel controllers go? It a little more electronics then I was planning ... kind of cool though. takes the guess right out!! Do you log MPH/Acceleration in your data as well?

Have you noticed anything interesting when dataloging the RZR?

Re: Power Commander III or what?
I too would like to use a pc3 and some kind of wide band set up to tune. I would guess with that innovative set up getting the parameters set right would be the most crucial. I thought the innovative set ups were made for car motors.

Re: Power Commander III or what?
Car has one ECU connection standart: OBT II. You can connect your datalogger and get all data almost automatically for all vehicles after 1997.
ATV, UTV manufacturers hasn't any connection standart, so you must find right wires from all sensors... and to solder all connection or install plugs. Next step is callibration, all sensor usally works with 0 to 5 V voltage. Datalogger must to know what this values means. For example 1 Volt is 10% opened throttle, but 5 volts is 100%. That is all.

Re: Power Commander III or what?
ah ok I gotcha.
I you really would need is tps input, tach input and a wide band. log all that and you would be good to tune.
