What is Polaris AGL?

I have a Ranger but it probobly uses the same fluids as your RZRs so I figured I'de ask here as well. I got no where on the Ranger fourums. I want to change the oil in the rear of my 2010 Ranger before I go on vacation this Friday.. It has the one peice transmision/rear end in it. It takes Polaris AGL for oil but what is it? It is rite at 60 miles to teh nearest dealer and I realy dont feel like driving 2 hour round trip for 2 quarts of what is most likely just 75-90 gear oil. That and what is there front hub oil they use in the front end? Someone told me it basicaly just synthetic ATF wich I have on the shelf in the garage along with synthetic 75-90 gear oil. No one on the Ranger fourums seems to have any idea what either of them actualy are.

Re: What is Polaris AGL?

A couple of years ago I read a post which identified Amsoil substitutes for the Polaris fluids. In summary:
- AGL = You can also use Amsoil series 2000 synthetic chaincase lubricant
- Rear Diff: Use any 75W90 gear oil
- Front diff: You can also use Amsoil shock therapy #5 light

Just mail order the Polaris fluids--it will be far cheaper than driving that distance round trip!

2008 Rzr * RimArmor * Factory UTV skids and A-arm guards * Makin Trax progressive springs * 26" Bighorns * 2 inch lift kit (Rubberdown front, Thunderhawk rear) * Thunderhawk front bumper mount reinforcement and exhaust shield * Dirty Dawg clutch kit * Maier wheel flares * 2 inch rear wheel spacers * HPD greased steering bushing * Dragon Fire Racing 4 point belts and air intake
