Suspected Fried Motor
Went for a good ride in some extremly dry conditions. Got back to camp. Motor was idling at around 850 rpm. Tons of blue smoke comming from exaust. Revs up good to the 6250 rpm. Took out the air filter & found a good amount of dust in the intake past the filter.

Re: Suspected Fried Motor
326 miles. Problem is that I bought it from a NON Polaris dealer. They assured me there in house warranty was better than Polaris. I have already had to pay for the new plastic cage in the front diff & a front hub out of my own pocket ($1100).
I called 3 real Polaris dealerships & inquired if they would have warrantied this work & they said yes. I called my dealer to confront her but she hasn't returned my call yet.

Re: Suspected Fried Motor
Did you try calling your local Polaris dealership and see if they will work you? Polaris fixed mine out of warranty. If they will look at it, have them perform a leakdown test and then have them contact Polaris for approval to rebuild it if it fails the test. Good luck!

Re: Suspected Fried Motor
Polaris is trying to make good on their air box issue and has extended the engine warranty for this. Be sure to call your Dealer! They should cover it. If they do,spend a little money with them as a courtesy. After all they went to bat for you..my .02
