Re: polaris recall here

There's a little more info posted here, the recall also includes an extension to the warranty of 18 months for dust ingestion issues.

Re: polaris recall here

Thanks for sharing this info. For all of the owners that have already upgraded their intake setup, I thought the quote about the extended 18 month warranty was interesting. It only covers engine issues that prove the problem directly relates to dust injestion and specifically mentions aftermarket parts as well. It will not cover "the use of aftermarket parts that worsened any dust injestion issue". My dealer said the installation of aftermarket intakes would not void any warranty especially since most all are better than stock. I guess we will see how Polaris handles this situation since they can decide if DFR, UMP, K&N or any of the rest are better or worse than their "NEW" setup.

I do have some peace of mind with this issue now that the extended coverage is official. I only ordered the UMP to head off any future problems and I can not clearly say the replacement filter they are offering will not take care of the problem. Only time will tell......

Re: polaris recall here

Polaris is adding 18 months to my warranty. They are completely replacing the top end too. I'm glad to see that they are addressing the issue...
