87 in the RZR.

100LL Av gas in high compression quads. No additives. Av gas is very stable for an extremely long time. All my riding buddies are using it in their high compression engines too. Also cheaper than race fuel.

Put it in all my small engine stuff like lawn mower and leaf blower when stored for long periods.

Re: what octane/run any additives?

I have a couple questions. It sounds like there are many fuel knowledgable people on here, but some are saying lower octane burns hotter and some are saying higher octane burns hotter, so does anyone know a link we can go to and see the facts?
Also, (hope I explain it correctly) for those of us advancing our timing curves with Dynatek ignitions, we should go with higher octane, and boosted motors should go with higher octane, but why do I hear turbo timing curves retard rather than advance on top of the timing curves, while still running higher octane?

Thanks

Re: what octane/run any additives?

87 octane with sta-bil however I use Marathon fuel because it states it is 100% gasoline. I have never had any problems with the fuel getting old. Whatever is left in the cans goes in the weedeater and lawn mower.

Pretty sure your looking for gains that simply do not exsist, lets face it if their was any significant gains to be made by simply pouring in a higher octane or your favorite snake oils their would be undisputable scientific documentd proof along with the proof would be step by step instructions on what and how to do it with detailed pictures, their is non for a reason.

Octane is part of a engine building package that comes along with all the other modification done to enhance performance usually these modifications require a higher octane to stop denotation the higher octane fuels and additives alone add no power the higher octane is HARDER to ignite so your probably losing power with the higher octanes again the gains losses are not enough to even worry about.

Physiological gains from higher octane and snake oils is priceless and undeniable just ask users, heck even erections are bigger when you pour it in your tank (so I am told)

Seen many of my buddies spend thousands on snake oils "turbo blue" special race fuels, AV gas bla bla bla in search of that magic bullet that makes them better and faster than all their friends.

Makes you feel better mentally makes you feel more like a man then by all means run it, feel better feel faster! as for me when you try to sell me on it better bring science with you, their was science behind the development of the snake oils so lets see it no need for a line of bullshit "higher performance" without the proof.

I don't know where you got that I wanted to use higher octane fuel to get more hp from my post, but I was just trying to figure out what fuel would be the best to run for my turbo setup with out blowing my motor.

Storage between rides. I get out about once a month. In summer, you mow the grass once a week or you have to take out a posse to find the house! I have the best running mower in the state. ha
