dragonfire exhaust

So I bought the full dragonfire exhaust. I was installing it tonight and realized that i have to be missing something. I don't know whether or not it matters that i may have an earlier gen pipe, with a third gen rzr?

Has any one noticed fitment issues with their DF system? Was there a change in design of the mid pipes from the gen I to the gen III?

thanks

I will take pictures of what i am talking about tomorrow when its light.

I think thier exhaust is actually made by LTE"not for sure" which is priced as the best in the world but deff... doesn't live up to it. Id box it up and return. or perhaps DFR could chime in here. there site sponsers the forum now.

Re: dragonfire exhaust

ok so you are having fitment issues with the mid Pipe? If you can get me some pictures so i know a little more where the issue is, we can either send you a new pipe or help you get this one to work.

I will take pictures friday, didnt have time last night. Well I think its a combo of the mid pipe and the "S" pipe. The header seems to be right, but on the mid pipe there is a tab with a hole in it, well the tab is kinda out of place and may be hitting the intake canister. The "S" pipe seems to be really close to the intake, and hits the swaybar mount.

I will pull the plastic so i can get a better angle on the install and better pictures.

Re: dragonfire exhaust

Ok so here are the pictures.. I have no idea other then polaris changing the design of the rzr from gen I to gen III on their exhaust system.

Unless im just stupid and cant figure out how to install i pipe...

This is the mid pipe hitting the sway bar cross tube.

The gap from the canister to the edge of the "S" tube is because of the mid pipe hitting the sway bar cross tube. Putting the springs on doesn't help, they just put the pipe in more of a bind.

And finally the tab that is somewhat out of place?

Tell me what you all have in mind.

thanks
DH

LTE does not make our pipe, we design our pipes in house and out source the manufacturing. Vance and Hines has been quoting our new pipes, here is the new Dual RZR. We just finsihed the design last week.
We are testing it with the new throttle body.

OMG that is sexy Todd! I am looking at getting a new dual exhaust, this is not on your site yet. I have a 2008 Gen 3, so this should fit.

As stupid as this sounds here goes: I am more interested in the sound than performance, I really like the sound of the HMF vs the LTE. I like the low grumble vs the higher pitch, any chance we can get a sound clip of that exhaust?

One thing I don't like about the HMF is that it is not true dual exhaust in my book (there is a Y midpipe) like yours and LTE.

Also is repacking necessary on yours?
