Re: low idle

Sounds like some of you are getting dust past your filter and into your engine. Have a compression / leakdown test perfomed, get a free engine rebuild and throw that crappy airbox away and get a DFR or UMP to fix all your dust and idle issues...just my 2 cents...

Re: low idle

Yep RZRCRAZY I'm sure that was the deal, theyare going to rebuild the engine. But the only other problem is now that there is the air filter fix in the works, if it is a dust ingested related problem using an after market airbox or filter Polaris may not cover it. Thanks for the input tho.

Re: low idle

Good point. It is always best to check with your local dealer before installing aftermarket products. If you buy the parts from the dealer, they typically take care of you. I found DFR parts are cheaper when I go through Polaris...

Re: low idle

Ok, now I'm getting really confused... They did the upper teardown, and found nothing wrong ???? They have had the RzR for 1 month now..
They tell me that when they call polaris they put them on hold for like an hour then ask them to test something then call them back,,, and when they do they are on hold again, and they can only do so much inna day. So some of you are mechanics out there, is it really like this ?

Re: low idle

Yes to both, they got a 190 befor they replaced the fuel pump, then got a 132 after they replaced the fuel pump, the did the teardown and found nothing really wrong, not even a stuck valve. I need to ask them tomorrow about the compression issue if they didnt find anything, or check into a lemon law lawyer.. its been over 30 days now and made 2 payments...

Re: low idle

Getting top end re done, Supposedly, carbon build up on the piston and rings caused the problem, I hope to hear from them tomorrow.

Re: low idle

Update: They got the engine back together, but found that they needed to fix the original issue. The TPS(Throttle positioning sensor) was bad, and now I have to wait again for that to come in...

Re: low idle

I was told that it had poor or no idle and it pulled a code that pointed to the tps.
