The primary clutch on my rzr stuck in the engaged position (2" down on the shaft) the other day, so when I got it home I tapped it gently with a hammer and blew it out and it seemed to work fine for a couple of days. Last night I went for a ride and it did it again. It won't down shift and keeps the motor engaged. Its like a keeping your vehicle in 3rd gear around town and never engaging the clutch. While trying to limp it home the belt exploded into tiny pieces. Now I have string wrapped all around the primary and it still wont disengage, dont know how the hell Im going to get that out. Does anybody know what is going on with my primary clutch? I thought it was gummed up from belt and dirt dust but now I am thinking it might be something else too.

You may need to take it apart and clean and inspect it.Check the rollers and the weights were they pivot on the bolt and the plastic buttons.also the bushing it rides on when it slides in and out.I just took mine apart to check it out and everything was wasted I ended up just buying a new one becuase it didnt look rebuildable it was so worn out.

Looks like I might have lost a bearing. I am going to take it in and have the dealer look at it.
