primary clutch cover?
OK, OK, OK .. I did it ... I removed my primary clutch cover to remove the spacer in my 08 rzr. And I did not mark the location of the cover to the housing. So .... after reading, I don't know how many times, to make sure you mark the original cover location before removing because it is a balanced unit, I just went merrily ahead and removed it. Removed the spacer and measure the primary spring and then as putting it back together ... chit - chit .. I didn't mark the parts so I could assemble the same way... Other than rotting in hell for this error, how serious(balance wise) is not having these parts assembled as they were from the factory? Honest I promise I will never do it again ... at least until the next time. God I hate being punished ![]() Cheers Ken |

Re: primary clutch cover?
You might get luck and not notice the difference. The concern is that this spins on the end of the crank and can place extra stress on the bearings in the crank if out of balance and spinning at 6000 rpm. There should be an X stamped in it that you can align with the X stamped on the spider and the lower portion of the clutch.

Re: primary clutch cover?
Thanks Ralph, I'll have another look. I did see an X on either the Cover or the Spider but not a matching X on the alternate piece. Maybe I missed it. I appreciate the info.
