Looks good man! This is my next purchase before I snorkle mine. The stock box is junk and these aftermarket rzr specific ones are a fricken rip off! I found a place online to get the black apollo for $100. Hard to beat that price! Thanks for the info on the apollo!!

Re: Revised/Improved K&N Apollo Air Intake

It drops the sand/dust out the bottom of the filter and won't allow anything to come in...

Re: Revised/Improved K&N Apollo Air Intake

If I understand it right the swirling dust settles in the little rubber snout. It gets expelled anytime the engine backfires (common on deceleration).

Anyone had one of these fail on something used in deep mud or water?

Another quick question, did you use anything to seal up the layers of the apollo? Or is there a rubber o-ring gasket between the filter housing layers?

Re: Revised/Improved K&N Apollo Air Intake

Can you post a pic of where the intake tube is mounted to the RZR and how you have that end setup?

Thanks!

Re: Revised/Improved K&N Apollo Air Intake

I posted more pictures in these and you can all the components better...this is a better system guys...it does not pull dirt and crap from the CVT notice how I did manage to scoop up a lot of sand so the next cleaning I'll get to see how the Dust Extractor worked...even with the K&N packed with sand the air filter and throttle body were clean...my RZR does not use a drop of oil...and it is bad fast with no internal engine mods...

What do you have for mods other than the obvious Apollo and Looney Tune pipe?

Re: Revised/Improved K&N Apollo Air Intake

MPI ECU with Hot Programming...EPI/HPD Clutch Kit...LTE Fuel Controller...just these few items will put a smile on your face...I tried the EPI Clutch Kit alone and the 70 weights (For a Turbo Snowmobile) were too much dropped to 66 weights standard polaris type and voila she rips...going to try 64's also I used the primary spring from EPI the secondary spring and helix from HPD...still going to try different config's with clutch in future I want all my power used up at 50mph and I want all the horsepower from 0-50 most usable for me and the way i ride...if I want to cruise at 55-60mph I'll use my truck ...
