Dynatek adjustments

I recently installed a Dynatek Programmable CDI (DFS9-3), Coil (DCK9-2), and Serial Programmer (DRSP-1). This is my first time to add these to a bike, and I have no idea what im doing when tuning. No shops around me have a dyno willing to run my bike. I heard to use a wide band o2 sensor, but I dont know how to use one or adjust the cdi with it. Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Re: Dynatek adjustments

When you get the wide band O2 sensor and gauge, you will be able to tune your air/fuel ratio at low mid and high. This will allow you to optimize how your engine is running. Do some searching and see what A/F ratio guy are running at.

Re: Dynatek adjustments

It would probably help everyone to know what your other mods are to help them make suggestions. Any intake or exhaust mods? Internal engine mods? Turbo? Nitrous?

Re: Dynatek adjustments

you need to use a wideband o2, it doesn't make any diff. what mods you have or don't have, a/f settings are what makes these things run. 14.7 is the industrie accepted standard for optimal milage . if you get yours set between 13.2 and around 14.5 under all conditions, you will be close. you have to leave the programmer plugged in or you will lose the dialed in adjustments, never mind what the instruction sheets say. THEY DON"T REMEMBER THE SETTINGS WHEN PROGRAMMER IS REMOVED. stroker

Re: Dynatek adjustments

Hey, I was just thinking if someone had similar mods they could share their settings to at least get him close. I agree that tuning yourself with a wideband is the right way to go. Not everyone can deal with this though.

Why do you say they don't remember the settings?
