Re: Engine breaking

No EBC system in the Rzr. You're feeling the normal engine braking any car would have that has a clutch instead of a torque converter. Let it idle down and you'll freewheel. Tap the gas to engage the clutch & you'll feel the engine compression drag you down, similar to EBC.

Re: Engine breaking

I've read comments that you can add that bearing for a few bucks to have true EBC but don't know if anyone's done it.
I think many grow to like the way the Rzr engine brakes.

Re: Engine breaking

polaris had a kit for the ranger a few years back but took it off the market. we sold one and on a 6x6 at 35mph you could let of the cas completely and it would throw you into the windshield........but we do have a couple guys who have put the ebs kit for the 800 sportsman(as some of them came without it in 07) on their ranger and are pleased...they say a load on the ranger will pretty much make it useless as you still have to use the brakes but i am positive if you eant to put it on the 800 ebs kit will work.......it retails for around $450.00 good luck....

Re: Engine breaking

I thought the RZR came with the exact motor EBS and hill decent front diff that the sportsman 800 came with.I should of asked more ?? before buying it.I think once I get other problems worked out I will see if that EBS system will fit and if there are any downsides
