Am installing Gorilla axles and they did me the favor of tightening on the end castle nut pretty good which of coarse I have to get off. No problem for the rear axles as just them in and put it in gear and that holds the axle to take them off. But my front diffs are spinning even when in gear with AWD button pushed. I assume it has to be started before they lock up ??? I am only asking as I also have my clutch apart right now so cant do that yet.

Get your sexy neighbor to hold the brake pedal for you...or is that already apart?

Yeah brakes are off and cant get back to the point of getting them back on as the castle nut prevents you from sliding the spindle, etc. back on.

I think an airgun and something holding the axle (vice) will shock it off (of coarse tools I dont own ... yet) but am hoping to just get the diffs to lock so that I can do it the traditional way.

The front diff only locks when the rears slip a little. You might try striking the wrench with a hammer since you don't have a impact.

Doooouuuughhh, I knew that ... thanks for the refresher. Wonder if there is any way to fake it out for a few seconds to get them to lock up. Got the impact wrench now but no vice so still going to be a struggle.

Lets see, you could put it up on jack stands, put in awd low, hold the wrench, get your buddy to gun it. wait wait, something is wrong with this idea? I keep seeing blood, guts and bone fragments for some reason

Told you I just have flat out bad luck ... the one we were fighting was cross threaded by Gorilla ... picked up an air gun and it worked it off with alot of effort.
