"It took a while...actually a long time to obtain the proper insurance package that would include UTVs in our racing program.
Some of you may know that we have an on-going SuperCourse Desert Series here in California City through the AMA. Since last year, we've been trying to obtain a rider to the current AMA insurance, so that we could offer Classes for all UTVs and other four-wheel vehicles. Unfortunately, the AMA studied our proposal and rejected it. We did not give up and as a results:
WE NOW HAVE AN INSURANCE PACKAGE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT ALSO INCLUDES FOUR-WHEEL VEHICLES (UTVs, Pilots, Trophy Karts and other).
Starting with our fourth event in the Series, AUGUST 16, 2008, we will have at least one Class for UTVs, a class for Pilots and a Class for Trophy Karts. More importantly, we will be able to expand the UTV Classes according to its needs. We hope to resume working with the UTV Racing Association to put this package together. We have three events left in the Series for 2008, and we will set up a Class Championship, with year-end awards for UTVs and others.
Therefore, we would like to invite you all to participate IN the remainding three (3) events. Get used to us and the way we produce our races. Hopefully, you will enjoy them to come back in 2009 with a complete and full Series package.

We also plan to have two "special" events in 2008 that will include UTV Classes among many others.

ABOUT THE AUGUST EVENT: This is our annual YEARLY NIGHT RACE, meaning that racing will not start until 8 p.m. Saturday night (8/16) here in Cal City. We will have Classes for motorcycles and ATVs, 2-hour 13-mile SuperCourse; Classes for UTVs and Pilots, 45 minute, 6-mile SuperCourse; Classes for Tophy Karts, 30-minute, 6-mile SuperCourse; all running separately from each other and computer-scored accordingly. Within a day or so, you'll be able to obtain the overall and class results. REMEMBER, LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT!
The last two events in the Series will be October 18 and December 13, 2008. We will have our awards ceremonies in late January/early February, and in February 2009, we'll start an entirely new six-event Series.

As we said, we're going to discuss all this with the UTV Racing Association, but as individuals, if you have some ideas and suggestions, please feel free to tell us about them. We will be listening.

For more details, please contact us at: EMAIL or call us at 760.578.6258.
Thanks. Lou Peralta - AVE"
