Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

I thought I would post some pics of the bumper & where the mounting points are. If I do end up running into something the mounting points won't go through the radiator.
This was the only front bumper I found that mounts this way.

The last Pic shows the Holz hood vent.

I see that the bumper tubes go in toward the winch. If my winch is already installed. Do I have to uninstall it to install the bumper?

Re: Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

I'm almost positive the winch wouldn't need to be touched.
Maybe the roller fairlead mount, But I'd say even that is only a 50/50 possibility.

Re: Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

the problem with that bumper befor you all run out and buy one is it sticks out so far on the bottom when in the dunes and jumping in the dirt ect ect it hits everything and scoops up piles of shit and puts it in your face

That sounds pretty nasty! I want to find the person who is strategically placing those piles right where I would land and tell them to stop!

I haven't taken it to the dunes since I installed the new bumper, but I'll be careful of that.
It doesn't seem to stick out any further than my buddies pre runner bumper from Polaris.

Thanks for the heads up.

What did you cut the hood with?
Did Holz provide a template for cutting it?

Re: Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

We cut it with a dremmel tool.

It really isn't hard at all. You can use the backing plate that comes with the kit to trace where you will cut. Just be sure to take a step back and make sure it is centered & level before you start cutting.

Re: Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

Have you contacted Trail Armor?
I'd also like to add Holz Racing now makes a front bumper that mounts to the frame and not the radiator supports.
It's also tucked into the body, so it shouldn't work like a shovel.

Re: Trail Armor bumper & A-Arm guards

I still don't get the "Shovel" thing.
I have never experienced this issue, and I have Allot of miles on it in every kind of condition, many of those miles in the dunes.
It has worked perfectly for me.
I even hit a big rock with it while being a "Little" reckless. Not so much as a dent. It is built like a Tank.
I couldn't be happier.

And that's all that counts.
I've purchased a ton of things other guys/gals didn't like but it worked perfectly for "MY" riding style or intended use.
I'm just glad there are so many options available to us RZR fans.
