Because I was thinking just to add aluminum pieces, if the sell them separately, but on other token, if will be just small price difference between complete system and just metal staff, I would go with complete set up. I run the Factory UTV UHMW skids on my RZR. They are full coverage skids including the front and rear diffs. They are 3/8 thick UHMW and pre bent to fit the RZR. Unlike the ones pictured in this thread, the edges are finished, not just saw cut, but more importantly the mounting holes are recessed so the washers are not sticking out like the ones pictured above. The OEM skid is horrible!! I tore a hole in my OEM skid and cracked the fuel tank on my second ride The UHMW skids have taken a serious beating and are barely scratched and it doesn't dent or hang up on rocks like aluminum. Really good stuff!

I this case I take your word for it and will go with the complete set. My neck already hurts, thanks to getting older I don't need add to it some more pain. : ) I will place order tomorrow.

I got them off Ebay from Factory UTV, a Nor Cal shop. They always have an auction on Ebay for them.

I had the factory UTV prototype skids installed on my teryx for one run prior to sending my teyrx into the shop for a cage and when i looked underneath i had taken a couple of hits adn nothing but a faint scratch onthe skid, quality product from quality people.

Re: Holz skid plate

My Kawi is the shiznit. awesome machine for what i will be using it for,

1. Good allround ride for me and the wife to have fun on.
2. Removable rear seat for two or four person configuration
3. with seat removed i will be pre-running and using it for chase on the closed course races that i help a buddy of mine out on in his jeepspeed wrangler

Here is a photo... I liked the price and the fact that the entire skid plate is UHMW and has all the drain holes. I also really like how they finished it and recessed the mounting holes to keep the washer and bolt hardware out of harms way. LOVE the UHMW!!! Can't tell you how many times I've slammed into a big rock in the desert at speed and thought for sure I seriously damaged the skid only to find the stuff unfazed.

I have basically the same motor as the Teryx in my KFX quad. GREAT engine with tons of potential!! I like the Teryx...

Look very good too, I like very much the recessed mounting space for bolts.
Now I am confuse which way to go, on Holz I like the aluminum wrap
around body and front skid, on factory UTV I like the finish. Why life need to be so complicated with so many choices.

Re: Holz skid plate

Decisions are tough but I will tell you one thing I very much dislike about the Factory unit shown here.
It's a HUGE shovel for dirt, mud, boulders and roots. I'm not fond of sudden stops, I would have angled those up and closed them off so nothing "hooks" the plate.
