Please Help, Skid Plate ?
I have pulled my stock skid plate off. My question is, when you put a after market skid plate on what do you do with the wire harness under the battery box, because it hangs down bellow the frame it would be smashed. I know the wire harness has been brought up before, but I didnt here of a fix. Realy is a poor place to put it. THANKS IN ADVANCE, JOHN

Re: Please Help, Skid Plate ?
I used the RPM battery box. I was skeptical about doing the work myself. It's very easy. The hardest part was moving the wires around the box. I figured it out, so it must be easy. The box fits right in, bolts up and holds my battery good.

Re: Please Help, Skid Plate ?
I had an aluminum .156" thick. It cost $327, incl shipping, off of ebay. What a waste of money. It has been beat to being very warped. The last good hit it took was damaging. A rock hit it right in front of where the transmission housing almost touches the skid plate. This caused a leak in the seam of the trans housing and will now cost me hundreds of $.

Take a look at our UHMW skids Pat, we've had excellent luck with them. They offer full coverage for the RZR. We believe that UHMW is clearly a better skid material for the RZR than aluminum for the very reasons you've posted about here. If you look closely at the details, you'll see we've put the time and effort into a design that really works. Forum member get a discount as well.
