Agreed. I'm still extremely happy with my '08 Gen3 and just now decided to upgrade to the UMP Donaldson filter setup. The '09's will have a different filter moving forward but it's too early to tell if it will change anything.
Think about it this way, if the machine could be purchased off the showroom floor with a performance grade intake, would you pay $320 more pre-installed (UMP pricing)? I probably would have, so what's the difference. I also walked out the door with rock sliders already installed (at my expense of course) and I'm so glad I did. I promise you there is probably not a single RZR owner with a complete stripped down stock ride because you will always be adding accessories once you get it home. Just consider the intake your first project
