Re: Front Hood Rack, Anyone know of one?
My son-in-law made one for me when we were in Grand Junction, Colo. in July. I wanted to put spare to hold front end down on inclines but was overruled and he built one for rear Polaris deluxe brush guard. Oh well, now I can haul a deer on the front if I like. We used the hand removable windshield mounts, cut a rectangular piece of scrap metal with holes drilled in diagonal corners into two triangular pieces, welded to 1/2" pipe shaped to follow hood lines, 4 cross bars. Sets on the front brush guard with, for now, pieces of radiator hose fit over brush guard and a velcro strap from brush guard to rack to stop bounce. It folds up toward windshield and stays put to allow access to hood and front storage compartment where I keep small jack, etc. Works pretty neat and was all scrap metal and we painted it black. Will try to figure out how to upload pics, not real sharp on this computer stuff at my age but will try.
